Bug Report: Injury with Down and Distance...

Post by Magnum357 »

David, I think i might have found a slight bug here with Beta Patch 1.094. I've been trying to write down any bugs I have been getting on paper so I can list them here. Here is the one I found lately...

I was playing a Quick Play game with 2 US teams (Miami versus Miami) with US Rules Model. Situation: 4th Down and 10 on Visitor 38 yardline, On previous play (3rd down) I had completed a short dump pass to my Running back for about 4 or 5 yards (can't remember exactly) but then an injury occured to one of the Defensive players (Only Minor though). Instead of being 4th down and 5 yards to go, it listed 4th Down and 10 on the v38. I don't remember what yardline I got to after the Completed pass (but before the Injury announcement), it might have been the v38 or another yard count, I can't remember it exactly. I don't know what the problem is, but maybe the Injury or something confused the game and didn't count the extra yards.

Also, the Game clock stopped after the play was over with the Injury. I don't know for certain if that is a bug though since I thought the clock would restart again after injuries. Might be wrong on that though.

My understanding is that the clock should stop with the injury and not restart until the ball is snapped.

Are you sure the completed pass didn't get you a first down?

Following an injury the clock should not start till the ball is snapped.

I always thought--following an injury--that the clock restarts only after the ball is snapped.

Ok, wasn't sure about the rules for Game Clock versus Injuries. I think you guys are right about this.

Yes David, I'm certain that I didn't not get a First Down on the previous play and I know I only got about 4 or 5 yards out of the completion. For some reason the Down and Distance display indicated I had 10 yards to go instead of 5 or 6 after the completion. I'm trying to remember if the First Down Yellow Line indicated only 5 yards to go or 10 (I should have taken a screenshot), but I think it might have only shown about 5 to go, not sure on that.
