No Pilots, no planes

Post by MarcA »

Playing v1.8, stock scenario 15. Jusr transfered a Recon group from Kuala to Akyab and this fragment was left behind. I haven't seen this before. Save available if required.

The recon group was intact, no fragments, on transfer.

I had this happen once or twice in 1.6. It'll vanish in a turn or two. Haven't seen it yet in 1.8.

I got a v1.8 that has this as well. Also got one group with 0 pilots and 3 planes in reserve. Guess the ground crew plays craps under the wings ....[;)]

It has happened to me once in 1.8, but it 'merged' during the turn.

But when I went back and tried the turn again, it did not happen. [I may have changed the order of orders[:D]]

I think it must be one of those 'things done in this sequence produce ...".

I have a few of these groups around as well. I remember a thread a few weeks talked about this but can't remember the outcome, or find the thread. Can anyone enlighten me on how to deal with these?

I just add some pilots and then next turn the reserve are 'ready' and I fly it on to join the parent. Unless of course I disband the parent into another unit, and then when the fragement becomes parent, fill it with 30 exp pilots and send it to China. [:D]

In regards to the first post, I've had those in 1.6 a few times, they always go away on the next turn run.

All the non standard art on this page is from CobraAus. The plane sides are his latest, the panel is his blue panel information screen and the blue hex display icons are a set he made especially for me.

You should find them all at Spookys or Rogues sites.

Nothing here either... I've yet to hear from my PBEM opponent, but this is occuring in our game and it was started under 1.8 so I'm a bit confused. [&:]
