RE: V1.01.44 Beta Patch

I seem to be having issues clearing filters when in Air Transfer mode (F10). I have to go to F1 to clear the filters.

AI Combat Results

I'm playing Russia 41 against the AI. I am not getting and results from the AI attacks. Just a summary at the end of the AI turn telling me what my losses were. I have no idea which units he attacked etc. Is there a setting somewhere that I missed? Thx.

RE: So, lets hear form someone who bought it

I'd actually prefer a hex and marker approach to this pixelated stuff. Again, I own many fine games from Matrix and am not talking about fancy 3d fps. Just some clean, hex level graphics. Just my opinion.

PS: WitP AE absolutely rocks.

RE: So, lets hear form someone who bought it

I own lots of Matrix games. But in this day and age, there is no excuse for these graphics. Yes, I am grognard, but come on. PS: And how does one take it back? I'd try one of Matrix other games. Many good ones here.

Bought it, wish I hadn't. Saw the 2009 release and thought the graphics would be better. Save your money.

That's good advice. I mean I just love this game but if the AI cheats, then I loose enthusiasm. I'll hang in there. [:'(]

RE: Very disappointed

Been playing WitP forever. Have been greatly enjoying the first 3 days of my AE copy. And then... This thread totally took the wind out of my sales. I play the AI because that's what I like. Am now demoralized about the game and am setting it aside for awhile until I get re-inspired. Very sad.

RE: AE on a Mac

I use a 13" MacBooK Pro. I'm running WitPAE with both patches under parallels. And yes, just like all the other Macs, it runs just fine for me. For 3D work, you need boot camp, but for superior wargames like this, go Mac.

RE: PLEASE READ: Public Beta Guidelines

<t> OK, I'm having problems with it. I keep getting a pop up saying invalid serial number everytime I try to run the beta patch. My serial is valid and registered. I have tried both pasting from my license file and hand typing. It always comes up with invalid serial number. I have the 1st patch ...

RE: Too much fun, for a change.

<t> Here! Here! I completely agree. I'm an old fart (53) and have been playing this silly game since it came out. But the AI in this new version really has me pumped up for the competition. The power of setting patrol areas is really great. Also found out bad things happen if you steal too many of ...

RE: Petition: Stop Fog-of-War for friendly units when playing vs AI

<t> I don't think anyone would argue about the fog of war in the real world. But this issue goes to the playability thing. Its a game where you play all command levels. It sort of like not reporting accurately to...yourself.<br/>

How about it gets turned on only if the Taskforce is computer ...

RE: Petition: Stop Fog-of-War for friendly units when playing vs AI

I have to agree with fbs. This is a game after all. We all love the super detail, but this issue can detract from the enjoyment. If it is taking 3 hours to prep for each turn, that will become dull after a while. I recommend addressing this. Just my 2 cents worth.
