Re: 1941 campaign - 2025 - juv95hrn vs. Warmus

This game ended after a short mud period, where Germany inflicted nearly 200k losses renewing its summer campaign in deep snow and vs. level 3 fortifications, like nothing.

I could have kept taking this kind of punishment and most likely survived and turned things around, but I couldnt find any joy ...

Re: Chaos45(AX) vs TacticalStats(SOV)

I am amazed at players as the USSR, that can take this kind of punishment and keep going, without failing their player morale rolls.

Also I dont really see a way to avoid the current situation to be frank. Seems to be the standard outcome.

Discussion thread regarding House rules for player vs. player.

Hello,

I am by no means an expert on house rules and balance of the game. But I would like to get some input and discussion from experienced players, what are the arguments for the house rules preferred nowadays.

Let´s start with the easy ones.

Temporary motorization seems to be a big no-no. I am ...

Bryansk Counterattack
Krusk Counterattack

For counterattacks against single regiments - use less divisions (unless you are farming the maximum amount of wins). A "large" amount of units (4+ divisions or, when you unlock them, 2+ corps) in a single combat reduces the fire rate of their ...

Re: 1941 campaign - 2025 - juv95hrn vs. Warmus

Hi
Really enjoying your AAR the attention to detail in the screenshots is excellent, your review of each sector and Front description of your latest turn reads like what an actually combat report might look like ( my view ) is top notch.
Just my two cents on the North-Western Front operations, for ...

Re: Bish Bash Boche - A 41 GC JB (A) & Veterin (S)

Thanks for a very interesting and exciting read of the AAR.

I can´t help but feel its incredibly challenging to avoid a knock out encirclement in 41-42 vs. an experienced German player. Maybe later patches have evened out things a bit in this regard, since this was played?

It was a shame it ended ...

Re: Quick Questions Thread

Question: Do units on TRAINS collect any replacements, or no?

They do accumulate Prep Points however; correct?

If a unit is on a train, but doesn't MOVE during it's turn, does it consume any rail capacity?

You can see where this is going.....a couple units on TRAINS and waiting becomes like a ...

All in all, not a terrible week. Heavy losses, but that is to be expected, when defending and not running away. Two large successful counterattacks (and one failed). Mostly we are rearranging to slow down the German panzers, which push in certain key sectors ...

Re: Quick Questions Thread

Here is another question: How are AA SUs typically used?

I know that they will defend the hex they are in vs. Air Attacks (HQ unit or attached to a Ground unit)

If attached to an HQ, do they provide any AA benefit outside of protecting the HQ unit? Or is that it?

If used as SU in combat, do ...

Re: Quick Questions Thread

What week/turn does Heavy Mud normally hit the map in a 1941 campaign? We have had multiple high pressure fronts during fall, and I suspect this has delayed the onset of Rasputitsa. Only on Turn 17 did we get Heavy Rain on half of the map...

Tun 18 (19th October) most of the map is now Heavy ...

Overview

On Map men: 3.7 Million, 8800 tanks,
I set infantry division size to 50%, to rebuild the manpower pool somewhat.
3:1 air losses makes this a good week, even if losing over 600 planes.

I should have ...

Re: Quick Questions Thread

Does anyone have a specific win ration needed to upgrade units to Guard Status? I seem to remember (from WITE1?), that you would need at least 7 more victories, than defeats, to have a chance at upgrading. Does anyone know a bit more than what the Manual states for WITE2?

Thanks!
