RE: Freeze on Detailed combat

<t> I noticed something in the new patch (I haven't played much with the recent patches though) that is definitely in the small niggle category but nevertheless...when I entrench a unit, the movement counter decrements to 0 properly, but the blue hex outlines indicating the movement still available ...

RE: Province Info Failed Column Check

One would have to have to expand the definition of amuse a bit, but in a sad and pathetic alternate universe, yes I suppose that would be possible.

RE: Province Info Failed Column Check

I did a search and found a couple mentions of this error...however I don't have any mods installed and I was trying to start a new game...should I try a different scenario?

Province Info Failed Column Check

I received the message in the title when I tried to start a new game using the beta patch. I picked the July 1861 Scenario and the game hung with only the problem window that would not go away.

Any ideas?

RE: white image in the presentation screen

Slightly different problem, but I noticed that when I had a container at no supply and right clicked on the supply icon, the paragraph explaining foraging showed up with white on white text.

RE: Crashes in Detailed Battles...Could just be me

For giggles, I performed another chkdsk /f again and paid attention to the any indication of bad sectors and I don't get any bad messages when I look in my Event Viewer.

I am going to start another game and see what happens.

<t> The crash is consistently in the detailed battle, but I haven't yet discerned a specific point.&nbsp; I will make a move and a telling delay will occur, shortly followed by the crash message.&nbsp; It typically has allowed me to play for some time before hanging.<br/>

Crashes in Detailed Battles...Could just be me

<t> Heydee Ho<br/>

I am getting a consistent crash when in detail battles, but the error I am receiving is telling me that the game is trying to save to a bad block on my hard drive. I have run chkdsk /f afterwards and I don't get this in any other application I am running so I am hoping ...

RE: HOW DO I UPDATE FLASH!!

<t> While I understand the frustration of not getting the game to work, the seemingly unique nature of your problems should lead you to wonder what is wrong with your system rather than what is wrong with FoF and Matrix Games in general.&nbsp; Well perhaps not wrong, but unique in the equipment or ...

I really want to play this game...like now...but I am afflicted with the same problem as above in that I just can't play knowing an update is imminent.

<t> I don't think it was the POWs as a concept that was a problem with COG, but rather the implementation and consequences.&nbsp; Having vast numbers of them that gobbled up resources able to become reconstituted armies in your rear area were a couple of the issues.<br/>

Computer Player Strength Settings?

After patching to 1.2.6.2, the ability to give the computer extra strength is not apparent when setting up a new game. Is this as planned?

<t> I really liked the demo and would like to get the full game. I would be curious to hear about any critical bugs, but it doesn't sound like there are serious showstoppers. One of the features I saw in the demo looks very interesting and that is the ability to composite weapons or other devices to ...

<t> Yes you should definitely buy this game...but not for any of the excellent reasons provided by any number of the similar threads on this page.<br/>

You should buy COG because every purchase prevents the spread of thousands of cases of the bird flu. You don't want to responsible for ...

RE: RTW revisited after patch 1.3

Boy this is a tough one to swallow, but I have come to have the same feelings as Ravinhood regarding RTW. Even with the mods available, it just wasn't as satisfying an experience as I expected. If I have a moment, maybe I will try the patch.

<t> I think I was simply not used to the new rules or the old rules working as they should perhaps. I was accustomed to setting up a depot as necessary as my army accumulated. <br/>
