Duplicate LU's - July 1861 Scenario

Post by f15eagle »

I've noticed several legendary units being duplicated. I've attached screenshots to illustrate this. First, Wheat's Tigers:

Duplicate of Stonewall Brigade

I have confirmed that they also appear twice on the unit history report.

I received a "Michigan Stonewall Brigade" in my game which I thought was curious.
None of this is my fault.

There was one. Read the unit's "bio."

Do you happen to know whether the duplicate LU's were both created during game setup or was another one created from a newly mustered/produced unit?

About 90% sure they were created during setup. My own personal fog of war accounts for the 10% uncertainty :)

Also, although the game concluded in 1864, I never received R.E. Lee, T.J. Jackson, J.E. Johnston, and many other key generals of the CSA. The game settings were historic stats and start dates, normal frequency (neither more nor fewer), hidden stats.

Just to confirm, was this game started with 1.9.4?

Yes, it was. This is not the "Coming Fury" scenario, though, but the original July 1861 scenario. Is "Coming Fury" going to become the only July '61 scenario?

Yes, the original July scenario will be purged by the final "gold" version of the patch, and is by now obsolete. The generals files in "Coming Fury" have been worked over a ton, so I doubt that you would have this problem if you started a new game.

It's actually the Stonewall Regiment.  Chris

True. Here's there write-up from the game: "Within three weeks of leaving Michigan, the 17th Michigan Volunteer Infantry Regiment engaged in fierce fighting at South Mountain and then Antietam in September, 1862. At their first battle, they earned the nickname of “Stonewall Regiment” from their successful uphill advance against Confederates positioned behind a stone wall. Attached to Gen. Ambrose Burnside’s corps, they later fought at Fredericksburg, Vicksburg, the Wilderness, Cold Harbor, and Petersburg, among other major engagements."

I also get recurring LUs in the 1.94 version.

Yeah, I believe it was at South Mountain that the 17th MI regt. earned the title of the Stonewall Regiment.
