That is probably a leftover from older versions in the manual. You used to be able to set minor league lineups as the minor league games were simmed like the major league games.

Latest version yes. And what I am saying is that there is not much of a curve for pitchers' control and stuff when compared to the curves for the batters and against fictional pitchers.

I'm not sure what weather has to do with how players are rated.

The AI has problems in filling their rosters with mediocre players and leaving starting caliber players on the free agent list. It seems to make too many offers too early to mediocre guys who accept before the star makes up his mind.

I don't beleive that the in-season changes show up on the report. You just have to keep an eye on them. They seem to change around the end of May and sometime in the July/August time frame.

I don't know how to prevent it from happening but there are two hidden abilities in the database - rest and durability. Rest is how tired the player is currently, durability is the maximum amount of rest that a player can accumulate. Durability seems to only go down over time.

Or the AI sends out offers to decent players and scrubs at the same and the scrubs accept first filling up the roster.
