Learning new positions

Post by James Ward »

In the manual it says players can learn new positions over time. I would rather not have them learn it on the job in the Majors. How do you assign a player a new position when they are in the minors?

You can edit the player's bio to change positions. He can have 2. And if he learns a new one during the course of play, it will overwrite one of his existing ones, I believe, though I don't know whether it overwrites his primary or secondary.

That is probably a leftover from older versions in the manual. You used to be able to set minor league lineups as the minor league games were simmed like the major league games.

Thanks.
If you want to groom a two position player, is there a way to make them play the new position more often so they learn it quicker?
Say I wanted to switch a player to a new position and eliminate the original position. Would he have the same Potential at the new position?
