RE: Updating the beta tester waiting list

<t> I dont post much, like most of the people who have responded [:D], but I'd like to think that on the occasion that I do post I have something useful to say. Alas, college applications have killed any and all free time I have until january. If the position is still open then I would LOVE to be a ...

RE: Modifications to MWiF Russia (Urals & East) Map portion

<t> I think that strategy would fail spectacularly with the new maps. If Russia is pushed back, or runs back, to the Urals then the European scale maps would give the german tanks much more room to blitz and kill. Japan might be hurting for a while, but the long term consequences for the allies ...

<t> Agreed, looks great.<br/>

However, looking at this on the CWIF scale it seems a little.....unpopulated. Anyone who knows more about the actual number of people living in the Caucasus? Seems to me there should be some more cities on the Caspian and on those rail lines.<br/>

RE: Modifications to MWiF China Map portion

What we need is DOD incorporated into MWIF, but thats a whole nother bag of problems and I for one will be perfectly satisfied with WIF on its own.

RE: Beta Testing

gosh, that doesnt look like a very happy russian position. Is it just me or are like 4-5 corps about to die? and why is that 4-2 ART alone? also, why are the russian airfields garrisoned? in the abscence of PARA, Id imagine those units are needed at the front.

RE: The germans

<t> in a theoretical way this makes sense. but in the last couple of turns of a WIF game, you tend to get this horrid "who can hold the victory cities against all odds" thing going on, especially with the Axis. Ive seen Japan holding nearly every victory city in the Pacific with white print corps ...

RE: The germans

<t> this is getting way of topic, and in no way am I saying this should be in WIF, but the victory system needs some work IMHO. Perhaps Control of continous areas in significant region with an exponential growth of VP for more hexes in an area? say that hexes in germany have a base value, and for ...

RE: The germans

i have to agree. ive always felt that people can look at a game board for several minutes and just know who won, but victory cities seem rather abstract and well.....pointless. but of course thats very subjective and all.

RE: AI for MWiF - USA

<t> i dont know much about programming, and im in a hurry, but off the top of my head why not have a designated "leading country" for each side (UK/Germany) that gets to increase the CV value of hexes for its allies? That would let Germany tell both Japan and Italy where to go, and would let the UK ...

RE: AI for MWiF - USA

how, if at all, will a human player communicate long term strategic goals to the AI? I find that especially when playing the Axis all 3 countries should decide on what to do. If Japan decides to invade Siberia and Germany goes Sea Lion....yada yada, you get it. just wondering.
