Anyway, I'm also not fond of the halo's and if offered a choice, halo or non-halo, I would prefer the later.<br/>
<br/>
But reality is that for the boardgame we currently do not have a choice so I decided to shut up and live with it and ...

RE: MARKET GARDEN

<t> A few weeks ago on Dutch television there was a short item which made reference to this daring river crossing.<br/>
<br/>
Seems that today there is a monument located near the bridge honering those that participated. Every year a school, for kids around 10 years old and located in the area ...

RE: Fire discipline

Sorry, should have said 'prefered option'.

Its just that checking LOS before moving or each time an enemy unit moves to a new hex feels a bid strange to me, it takes away a bid of tension in the game for me. Probably 'ASL heritage' or somthing.

RE: Upper level LOS

<r> <QUOTE><s>[quote]</s>ad3 - basically the designer can only tell "why". But imagine trees, with all their leaves... they cause somehow a blocking shild in that curtain angle. Makes sense? <E>:)</E>

Upper level LOS

<t> I have some difficulty understanding LOS when units are on upper levels looking down so I decided to make some examples.<br/>
<br/>
- 13J4 upper level has LOS to N1/2/3/4 (behind and over bocage), no LOS to C3 but LOS to B3/D3, no LOS to B7 but LOS to A7/C6 and no LOS to B1/C1/D1 because of D2 ...

Fire discipline

<t> Couldn't find anything in the rules but how do you treat firing on other units.<br/>
<br/>
1. Do you anounce it, check LOS and if LOS is blocked forfeit the use of opportunity fire. Ready for another shot.<br/>
<br/>
Or.<br/>

2. Do you anounce it, check LOS and if LOS is blocked ...

RE: Bocage (also hedges and walls)

<t> Sorry to step in so late but I was also strugling with this during my vacation.<br/>
<br/>
I do understand that units spot eachother if adjecent, also in the case of a bocage hexside. But will both units also receive the TM form the bocage/wall/hedge when firing at eachother?<br/>
<br/>
And ...

2 US heroes

Another question I found after sorting out the counters for le manior that I hope to try solo thursday.

The US have 2 types of heroes. Can you pick and chose which one to us in a scenario? I didn't find anything specific in the hero section in the rulebook.

Morale

<t> Hi, after going through the first chapters for the first time I noticed the 5 morale of the SS squads. From what I understand sofar this is low in LnL, they 'shake' easily.<br/>
<br/>
I always thought SS squads were elite troops and therefore a higher morale should be in order or does this ...

RE: BoH arrives in the UK, and in Italy too

<t> Haven't played the game yet so can only comment on the contents so far.<br/>
<br/>
LnL is the first board game I bought since 2000 I guess. I bought it because of the squad level action, the role SMC's can play and the event that occur. I'm really looking forward to playing this through VASSAL ...
