I had a problem with downloading the first 1.2xxx betapatch also. Had no luck using IE to download the patch (suspected that there is something wrong with IE's ftp - download thru web), but when I switched to Opera and used the "Quick download" - option, voilá!

I like the new colors. Map has much clearer/sharper outlook to it than before. Although "selected province" - color is maybe little too close to "seen province" - color for russia, when playing Sweden?

Seems that the patch - server is rather busy, no luck downloading in the first few hours of trying... Rather big size (¨30mb) of the patch might be partly to blame for this. Any chance for alternative link for download?

I started playing with Sweden in different scenarios, small, easily manageable country, and distant from middle - Europe, no big landlocked neighbours except Russia.

Second that! Would cut down multiple posts for same bug, etc...
