How do you do a screen capture?

I'm trying to get started in World at War and posted in that forum with a problem. The reply was to post a picture but I don't know how to get a screen capture. Can anyone tell me please? Thank you.

<t> I tried the first tutorial - spaced through the things I'm supposed to. I got to the part where you send 6 infantry units into the Netherlands, and they moved there. Then a "combat window" opens but nothing is there but the exit button!?!? There are no further instructions and nothing happens ...
