Re: Seriously how do you GC (Germany)?

I am finding how amazingly time consuming the GC is compared to scenarios. Also, seeing how spread out my forces are even if I am attacking into the USSR as they are melting away ... I am just asking myself; what were they thinking?

The time involved in the opening turns is a bit daunting ...

Re: Barbarossa or bust!!!

Getting ready to wrap up the first turn. I took Riga, Minsk, Lvov, and have a near pocket in Lithuania as I just need an armored unit to close the coastal ports before Riga. And have a large pocket in Biyalystock region. It looks impressive, but we all know how this will turn out.

I have a ...

Re: Barbarossa or bust!!!

I been studying the map, objectives, and ingress. Supply and rail lines are going to be a big part of this. The Balkans along with the line Pskov and the port of Riga look very inviting along with the rail straight into Ukraine. One almost get the impression that the Russians where not eager to ...

There are worse things, much worse things, to wake up as. To ensure you keep waking up, self-discipline must be deployed. Ballance of time/activities is the key--gotta keep moving.

Vorwarts is the lifelong call.

Re: Barbarossa or bust!!!

Hey M.S.

If you have not played the grand campaign beware of the looming first winter. If you start digging in by mid-October you should be fine. If you continue the attacks into mid-November, the Red Army (and attrition) will cripple you.

I finally got this game about three weeks ago. Lost (as ...

Re: Is there a Discord to quickly answer questions and where to start.

There are several guys that make YouTube vids which are very helpful. Two of them are still posting informative videos of the game--there are dozens--and those are needed.

There is a discord site but have not joined it. I may. I just recently bought this game--it is a bit on the "deep" side.

I bought all of his games that were on Talonsoft. I was struck by the similarity of those and the US Army's battalion computer battle simulation from 10 years earlier. I strongly suspect that was ...

Congratulations on finishing the game. I see this was from last year, but had to comment. I made it over 200 turns once, but never finished a PBEM game.

This was a pretty good game.

If you are already at 1000 NM, then that double consumption is partially wasted. If you are well below 1000 then it is a great help as it accelerates NM ...

Prussia is in a tough spot-right in the middle of everything-almost. No doubt we would all do a couple things differently in a rematch. You did keep the little Empire busy-and in the sights of bigger powers.
