Air Display

<t> Attended RNAS Culdrose Air Day yesterday. The highlight? A lengthy display by a Seafire and a Corsair. Wonderfull, made the hairs stand up on the back of my neck. Seen Spitfires before but never had the privelage of seeing and hearing a Corsair at full chat. Can understand why the Japanese ...

2 Questions

<t> How are supplies, resources, oil etc moved overland. I am thinking in the context of a Japanese occupation of Manchuria. Second question in some of the scenarios we now have the "Tillmans", 18" South Dakotas & the 18" Japanese battleships. The G3's are there would it be possible to have the N3's ...

RE: The Great Pacific War - Scenario in Progress

<t> Regarding the the "Amagis" every source I've read credits them with 10 16", Bywater and Parkes seem to be the only ones who suggest 8. I have to say Bywater could almost be a game developer for WPO if he was still around today. The GPW sounds an excellent scenario. Another one could be based ...

RE: The Great Pacific War - Scenario in Progress

<t> Sounds good. If you read "Sea Power in the Pacific" one of the causes of tension between Japan and US was the status of Japanese in US. This was a serious matter at the time and had been for for a number of years. Bywater refers to the anger in Japan particularly from the press about the way ...

RE: The Great Pacific War by Hector Bywater

<t> Bywater is a very interesting character. Apart from his novel 2 other books of his are worth looking at in the context of WPO: Sea Power in the Pacific pub in 1921 where he goes through various scenarios that could happen and Navies and Nations pub in 1927. He did appear to have a lot of high ...

Transporting Aircraft

I have seen mentioned on several threads that aircraft can be loaded onto AKs and moved to other bases. I can't seem to be able to do this. Could someone tell me how please. Thanks.

Saved game positions

How do I delete a saved game position please. I have looked in the manual and can't find anything. I am sure it is obviously simple, but I keep having senior moments.

Wei-hei-Wei

Forgive me if I have missed it in the scenarios, but Wei-hei-Wei was an important British base both pre "14-18" and in the inter war years. I don't seem to be able to find it.

RE: Update on "Orange Dawn" Scenario

<t> Both in Conways and Brown mention is made of the 1918 cruiser design. Extensions of the E class. Design A was the same dimensions but with 4 - 7.5" guns, B was slightly larger with 5 - 7.5" guns. Both were to have the same machinery as the E's. A would be 33knots, B 30knots. They were in ...

RE: A few questions

<t> They needed the refits as their protection was so weak. Jellicoe had grave missgivings about them especially after the Jutland experience. I believe 1 of them used the armour belt from Eagle as she became. In the context of the scenario I think RN would have proceeded with refits, in fact I ...
