Re: The young Marie-Louise (beginner) questions

Another question :

Is there a way to prevent another power agression against a Free State after a defeat?

Context : as France, I defeat Prussia. Surrender, forced peace in action. 2 turns after that, they attack Hesse that I am SUPPOSED to defend... but there is no war between us.

I am supposed ...

Can't create Poland?

Is there something I am missing here?

Context : got Masovia, West-Prussia & Posen from Prussia. I can't create Poland in Eco phase, I have a "Cannot create this kingdom" message.
As per the manual rules, I should be ok? (Mazovia + any one of the P provinces).

Re: The young Marie-Louise (beginner) questions

Thanks.

I must say I am slowly being hooked by the game, starting, playing a few months, paying my mistakes and starting again.

And indeed there is some AI in there, for now it's a decent adversary and not a pushover. It managed to badly surprise me by protecting efficiently its assets.

Thanks ...

Re: The young Marie-Louise (beginner) questions

Apparently, having only one leader in an area commands the whole stack. It seemed so in my test. Can anyone confirm?

Also, I've seen around the net and Murat's tutorial that 2 to 4 prov' distance is recommanded for depots. Is this ok? Should I start from the capital city?

Another question : are ...

I am not sure about the weekly turn. It makes MPP flow/usage less... natural.

Nice!

What do you think about upping the force point of some forts up to 8 or 10? Currently they still are destroyed quickly by wandering frigates...
Shouldn't they require a more sustained effort to fall?

Re: The young Marie-Louise (beginner) questions

Some questions :

- I've read the manual explainations about depots but... Could you guys give me some insights?
Like how do you proceed? One every couple of provinces? Deleting old ones in favor of new ones? Continuous chain from Paris to Moscow?

- What do you do with leaderless corps? Do they ...

Thanks for the answers.
I forgot to say that I am playing as RAF in BoB, but the general idea is the same.

Could you send me or write here an invitation to the discord channel? I can't access using the link you gave.

Thanks!

Re: Beginner's enquiries

So it seems I am not particulary efficient...

Which workflow do you advice?

-> small patrols when radio traffic is detected?
(how can I set the altitude of a patrol?)

-> Launch fulls squads at selected raids? I guess trying to get everything is useless...
It seems my scramble are way to late ...

Can't launch the editor - Steam version

Hello there,

I have the steam version of the game and when I try to launch the editor, either via the Matrix launcher or by directly clicking the .exe, I have this message :

"Could not initialize STEAM manager or invalid serial key".

How could I correct this?

Thanks!

Full screen?

Hey,

I know this is an oldy and close to nobody lurks here, but hey... let's try it.

Did anyone managed to have this run in full screen res under 1920x1080? Or using tools like dxwnd perhaps?

Thanks in advance! :D

Re: Any Chance for a Civil War 3?

Ageod is now a developper and moved to another engine and is focused on "Field of Glory Kingdom" franchise.
Also, the original team members are now on separate projects, so a direct successor is highly unlikely.

Thank you for delivering the sad news!

Re: The young Marie-Louise (beginner) questions

This helps indeed.

IMO, as Julich is the Cologne area (département de la Roer on French napoleonic maps) and was annexed to France proper, it shouldn't be a CoR component for historicity -and nice borders- sake.

But that's my Frenchness + obsession over such details that's speaking. It's ...

Re: Question from a possible new player

From my scarce knowledge from the manual and couple of hours tinkering with the game :

EiA economy is way simpler than CoG, except perhaps CoG "simple eco" mode.
In EiA, you just manage Money & Manpower comparade to CoG half-a-dozen resources and wonky sliders (still liked CoG).

Re: The young Marie-Louise (beginner) questions

Thanks for the answers.

- The font tip did the trick, thanks.

- As for Rhineland, I meant the "left bank", i.e. provinces like Julich, Palatinate and so on that were annexed to France and part of the de jure territory.
I've seen in the manual that Julich, for instance, is needed for CoR. => Does ...

The young Marie-Louise (beginner) questions

Hey there,

Just got this games.

Man, I remember reading about it around 2008/10 and the lackluster AI and so on.
I've seen that Pzgnd has been cooking!

So, a question, that would be the first of many:

-> Some menu fonts (like options ones) are really fat and huge, is there a way to tamper with ...
