Ageod is now a developper and moved to another engine and is focused on "Field of Glory Kingdom" franchise.
Also, the original team members are now on separate projects, so a direct successor is highly unlikely.

Yes, Ageod was founded by Philippe Thibaut and Philippe Malacher, who created the AGE engine.

They splitted so Ageod "classic" is sadly gone, and the AGE engine dead.

Philippe Thibaut uses now SGS engine to create wargames and founded his own publishing company Avalon Digital.

Philippe Malacher is the one developing "Field of Glory Kingdom" franchise.

In my opinion the Ageod style is present in SGS games, even though they use a different engine and is a card based game.

Field of Glory Kingdom, is a more Paradox type of game.

Only resemblance I've found is SGS Taipping Rebellion (loyalty mechanic) and perhaps SGS We The People. didn't play that yet. I think it is difficult for the game to survive in American forum without counters. And what can be improved in ACW 3?

Pocus have said already it is not like a Paradox game. Every building has historical background .(not generic) And more importantly events related to them after you build them. You do not just build armies without any military buildings.military institutions should be sufficient in domain. They will be hastilly levied when you recruit them. It is difficult to paint map and not rewarding. Manual needs to be read while playing Field of Glory kingdoms. I didn't see anything, similar design before in Total War and Paradox games. Have all CK'3 and EU'4 DLC and such.

Glad to see they are both active.

Well, times move...
I am pretty sure that someday, either Pocus or P.Thibault will once again go in ACW territory. And the old games are still perfectly playable, I had a blast last summer with Forge of Freedom (not Ageod I know, but pretty dated) and Civil War 2.

For that territory I think War of Succession and Wars of Napoleon should have been sucessfull. Whether no counters, processing turns or about the market. Was a beta tester of both during the time, Highly enjoyed them playing pbem. From Great Northern War to Spanish Succession War. I think P.Thibault design those wtih care but market is different.
