Possible supply exploit in Russia?

<t> I play my first game as Axis, took Leningrad & Moscow and noticed the only Key Resources left in Russia are now Kuybyshev (where capital has moved) and Sevastopol (which is Primary Supply Source). To my surprise Russia does not seem to have any Secondary Supply sources and Industrial Centers ...

RE: rather comical AI antics

<r> I would like you all to know that we're aware of all of this bad AI stuff and working on it. We're sorry if anybody feels upset about the weak AI - we'll do our best to improve the AI as much as possible. RE: maximum cheating

<t> We are aware of these weaknesses. We work on the algorithm of improving AI defence. Not in the next patch (which is coming very soon) but the following one: the AI will try to maintain a front line rather than static points of defence. We're also considering some additional AI improvements like ...

RE: Paratroopers

The other idea I have is to allow paras to jump only when they are inactive (i.e. do not spend a single AP) for x turns (it would be configurable, with defauylt value 2 or 3). This could reflect preparing for the operation far from the combat.

I did not assume that the country would spent PP only on technologies... However, I agree that the research cost might be too low at the moment. We'll tweak that.

RE: Offensive Air Strikes not worth it

<t> James Ward gave good explanation, it was designed purposfully. Otherwise air units would work like a land unit that has 20 hex attack range. Air strikes are ineffective PP-wise to balance the game, otherwise optimal strategy for resource rich countries would be to build only air units. Imagine ...

RE: AI THREAD PRIORITY

Don't change it :)

AI runs in its own separate thread, and I introduced this setting just in case someone had roubles with this thread being slowed down. So far it appears that nobody reported any problem about the AI speed, so this seeting seems to be not necessary.

RE: Can Germany get

In 1.20 patch this has been fixed. On Ribbentrop-Molotov and vichy events Germany gets some DP which, together with their +5 DP per month, is enough to bring all the historical allies into war prior to operation Barbarossa.

RE: Supply units

<t> We need to think this through. Is it really that diffictult to take port having total air superiority? If you have 3-4 air units, you can do 6-8 air strikes. Then, usually, you can bombard from the sea. Then land with strongest, high-lev corps units and it shouldn't be that hard to capture the ...

Check out doc\Event engine manual.txt, there's a description of params to all (or I think most) different methods to be used in <expression> and <effect> blocks.
