RE: Artillery and ships

<t> First thing is that if you know land-based artillery is good at taking out naval vessels, don't leave your naval vessels in their range.&nbsp; It is a matter of prepping the field - in which with Two Weeks in Normandy, the Allies have several fleets, total domination of the skies with severa...

RE: Opinions regarding Historical Detail wanted

<t> I'm still taking notes, though proceeding along historical lines to the extent that I can.&nbsp; My debate wasn't so much for using TO's for deployment options, but of placing formations in their general area of operations vs. units in their specific historical hex -- leave it to the player ...

RE: Don't Sweat The Details

Thank you for your input gentlemen - will go with the historical deployment then. Until it is complete, I prefer keeping details vague as I don't want to raise hopes or interest until I'm satisfied with it. I would only say that it is large.

RE: Formation Supply Question

<t> Thanks Colin, good points. It looks worthwhile to experiment with "handicapped HQ's" for air units deserving of such - could be an interesting dynamic. <br/> <br/> Supply appears to "step down" an absolute base 25% (with variance relative to terrain, possibly weather) along roads for each multip...

RE: Rommel - A great general?

<t> What seems to me the single largest contributing (not the only)&nbsp;factor to Rommel's defeat in North Africa was the lack of oil to power the Italian navy on a consistent and extended basis.&nbsp; That would have been helpful&nbsp;for the escorting of merchant marine supplies to Li...
