RE: Mixed Review on 1.62

<t> Thanks for all the cool improvements lately and the fixes. <br/>
<br/>
I don't know if this is an issue caused by the latest updates or just a real bad talent year, but in my 1971 amateur draft (historical association running since 1903) there was only ONE historical player available in the ...

RE: Mixed Review on 1.62

<t> This is related to something else I've wondered about. If you have your manager strategies set at "auto-rest when tired" shouldn't the AI grab either the best long relief guy off the bench to make the start, or skip the "red" pitcher's start and go onto the next "rested" pitcher in the rotation ...

RE: Why did they fight?

<t> Another take on the conflict can be gained by reading Alvin Toffler's "The Third Wave". The Civil War was primarily a conflict between an agrarian "1st wave" society and an industrial "2nd wave" society. In the south, cotton was king and the 1st wave way of living meant society was genteel, the ...

RE: Why did they fight?

<t> Southern politicians made the decision to secede from the Union primarily because they felt their slave-based agrarian economy was greatly threatened by the election of anti-slavery Lincoln.&nbsp; Lincoln decided that he would not allow the South to voluntarily leave this Union of American ...

RE: Tentative plan for "PureSim 2008/9"

<t> Did not mean for this to get off topic.&nbsp; While there are many strategies and stop-gap solutions we can and will try from our end, this&nbsp;will ultimately require a &nbsp;programming solution.&nbsp; Even if it means hardwiring the AI manager to remove any pitcher who gives up x runs.&nbsp ...

RE: Tentative plan for "PureSim 2008/9"

<t> I have done most of the things you suggest motnahp and it&nbsp;usually&nbsp;becomes a problem when i get in a hurry to sim a season and don't thoroughly go through the rosters of all the other franchises before i start the season.&nbsp; Sometimes though, one of these bums doesn't have the ...

RE: Tentative plan for "PureSim 2008/9"

<r> I hope you can address the manager AI that allows this. I don't mind having a lousy pitcher like this in the association, but I don't understand a manager that would let him pitch this long. This is significant enough to skew stats for the entire season. Seems I have to run through and force ...

RE: PS_TEAMS Utility

<t> WOW!!!&nbsp; Talk about perfect timing.&nbsp; This is just what the doctor ordered to fix the crash in my association, Crash.&nbsp; My expansion teams werent given abbreviations and that was causing the null error that wouldn't let me do the amateur draft.&nbsp; Also corrected team affinity ...

Very Nice Game

<t> Just wanted to say thanks for a great game from a new player. I have always been interested in games modeling the War Between the States and I must say this is the best I've played. I really enjoy macromanaging the economy and the detailed battle system is the best I've seen. I especially like ...

runtime error 94

<t> I have downloaded the latest update and went through expansion year 61. The AI never protected any of its young stars and L.A. and Wahington capitalized and went 1,2 in the A.L. this year. Now when trying to run amateur draft (which is still very, very slow btw) for 62 get the run time error ...

Anyone Else Having this Problem?

<t> Since converting my replay association to CE, i have this recurring problem every season of certain pitchers that are drafted having astronomical ERAs in the thousands and sometimes hundreds of thousands. I first noticed this when one of my Tigers box scores was something like 122-3. I started ...

RE: What are the 5 screens you visit most often?

what I would most like to see is a one-click button to take you to your home team screen from any of the main menu screens. This is already available on the "Home" screen, but would like to see it added to all the others without having to scroll&nbsp; the pull-down menu.

RE: Increasing the Challenge/House Rules

<t> In historical associations playing my Tigers, I will only draft, sign or trade for players who played at least one year for Detroit. I tried a couple of seasons without the limitation, but trying to picture Reggie Jackson wearing an Old English D just kind of made me queezy. That's in addition ...

Not sure if this has been mentioned, but would love the opportunity to play the All-Star game.
