RE: Features for ToaW 4

Better map graphics.
Usable 3d units.
Sharper AI on both offense and defense.
AI that would allow you to delegate command of certain units, which would move and fight based on orders from the AI..

My name gives 310,000 hits - I have the same name as a semi-famous Hollywood producer. He's younger than I, thinner, richer and has more hair.

What I like about Jim Cobb's reviews is that they contain very little fluff - they get right down to basics. After reading one of JIm's reviews, you get a pretty good idea whether it's the type of game that suits you.

RE: A Christmas present??

I'd rather have a (relatively) bug free game even if it takes a little longer. Besides, it's not as if there aren't any new, good wargames out there to get as a Christmas present.[:)]

RE: Official wishlist

I suggest a diplomacy feature, where you can send negotiators to other countries (e.g. Spain and France in the Amer. Revolution portion of the game) to attempt to get economic aid or military aid.

RE: More info about the game?

<t> Carriers at War is on a different scale than UV or WiTP, battles as opposed to campaigns. In CAW, the game play consists of finding the enemy and engaging him, and that's it (as far as I remember). In those other two games, you are running an entire campaign over a huge geographic area. UV and ...

Truly a classic. I can't wait to see how Matrix is going to enhance it. All it really needs is better graphics and a more modern user interface. The basic game play is outstanding.

I just saw the screenshots. Wow! I'm ready to buy it NOW!
