RE: Screen Res Question

<t> Scott: Yep, I totally understand what you're saying. The decision for that resolution was made due mainly to the amount of info we needed to display everything. I wanted most everything on ONE screen, rather than a lot of clicking to see info and popups going on. Early surveys we did supported ...

RE: Windowed?

Sorry...no windowed option. In my little surveys, not many would have used it, so I didn't implement it. Hope you consider loading it back up anyway! [:)]

RE: Copy protection/DRM

<t> Hey copy protection used to be really bad...those of you that remember the "Page 7, 4th paragraph, 13th word" BS that invaded games of the 80's and early 90's. But that didn't install intrusive software shells onto people's systems. Starforce was a travesty and I would actively avoid any game ...

RE: Few questions -

You can't create new planes, pilots, etc. in this version. The missions, planes, etc. that come with it present plenty of challenges for quite awhile.

RE: Possible interesting in Hornet Leader - Questions -

I believe it's a good solid game as is...challenging, but not TOO much so to be frustrating. The recent patch fixes most of the bugs and early speed issues. Then again, I could be biased.

RE: Fancy New Look

I like the new look; clean, quick to load and more "modern". I think it will help attract more fresh blood to check out Matrix Games.

RE: playing on my laptop ??!

Yes, the game was locked in 1280, and it was well publicized beforehand, I even did a survey and didn't think it would be such an issue. Needless to say, I learned the hard way. [:)]

RE: Screen size

The game is set (and there's numerous threads about it here [:)]) to only use 1280x1024 screen resolution. Yes, it's something I won't repeat again; future games I do with Matrix will start at 1024x768.

RE: Campaign saving

When you go to load a saved game, it displays a red X next to each saved game. Just click on that X and the game gets deleted.

RE: Cannons

You must be at the same altitude as what you want to fire at. For bandits, you must at high altitude. For sites, you must be at low altitude. Otherwise, you can't fire at that object, no matter how close you are.

No official mods right now, but the graphics may be modified (the ones included) for new themes. We certainly hope you do consider purchasing the game! [:)]

RE: Aborting

You get credit for destroying anything, including the target, but you still get the stress and exit events too. It's pretty close to how the original board game worked.

RE: NO HARPOON MISSILES????

Actually only a few bugs are present, and one is entirely avoidable. The other (with "invisible" bandits) doesn't happen all the time, and doesn't usually significantly impact play except with a few specific targets.

RE: Future plans

Thanks flintlock! Well...sales have been ok, enough to consider another release or expansion. We're going over several options now. I know the resolution thing tripped up some people who wanted to buy the game, which I learned a lot from.

I found the source of this and either it will be fixed now or in a future expansion/new release. Just a simple thing really.

RE: Screen Res Question

<t> 87: Hmm...strange. Rarely have I heard of a newer monitor and video system that only went that high. I did do a survey on here before release in this thread to determine the viability of this res, and at the time, 88+% were able to run it. I have learned a hard-won lesson though; future releases ...
