FYI
I can't get any of the patches or downloads to work now. (OK, I only checked on GG's World at War: AWD. I just bought it at Origins and I wanted to update it.) Just thought I would let you know so you can check it out.

Thanks,
Duncan

Hi Duncan

Thanks for the post.... as I am sure you have read by now its just because of the server move.

Do we have to re-do our Avatar??? Or will it show up eventually?

Hi Treale

They all should show up once the move is complete.

I think there is a kettlerian conspiracy to knock out all the wargame forums at one time.

It doesn't make any sense, Admiral. Were we better than the Japanese or just luckier?

I like the new look; clean, quick to load and more "modern". I think it will help attract more fresh blood to check out Matrix Games.

Hi Guys

Ok the forum should be back to normal and working as it was. We are still going to do a forum update but that will be later. Have everyone give it a shoot and let me know if there are any issues.

I wonder if I might be remembering this wrongly, but when I click on an attachment such as:

tm.asp?m=1280607&mpage=3&key=&#

from this message:

fb.asp?m=1805652

I get the normal screen (see attachment).

However, when I actually click on "1SanCarlos.gif", I don't get the image appearing in a separate window. I thought that the image appeared in a separate new window. Is this a change or am I simply mis-remembering the function?

David, so far as I see all works OK including old attachment inline pictures (in forums I visit)... [:)]

Well, unlike the Battlefront forums (down for days now) ours hasn't been offline during the transition [;)]

Hi all,

One thing I did notice is that forum search is not working... just try selecting whatever word and search always returns empty...

Please note that search by user works OK!

Maybe so, but you did break my server link so that I had to re-google you and work around it. I'll forgive you, though, just send me a free copy of AE when it's ready...

I have to be honest here as I harbour a dark hued hope that when the BATTLEFRONT forum returns, everyone's post count will have been lost and all must start with post #1. I never have seen forum members so anal about their post count as there, and the panic will rival the crash of '29!

Just noticed today that the new site is an awful lot more PDA friendly, too. Looks terrific on my trusty iPAQ 214.

Have everyone give it a shoot and let me know if there are any issues.

The forum-server clock is out of whack resulting in posts having a wrong date/time.

Test : I'm posting this on July 3rd, 10:11 GMT+1

<edit>
and it says : posted on "7/2/2008 8:11:07 PM" - which is my current time minus 14 hours, while New York is at minus 6 - a difference of 8 hours exactly.

David,

Thanks for the great time again at Origins. It was a blast. As for the great server migration of '08, the ability to get to the developers FTP site is down and Ron mentioned something about the Matrix e-mail not working too. I'm sure you guys are on top of it, but I wanted to pass that along.

Again thanks for all of your support at the show and thanks to the rest of the team too and good luck at Gen-Con (wish I could be there[:(]).
OTS is looking forward to Southern Storm getting released!
