You have to understand that this game was originally designed and released 19 years ago. Since that time new features and ideas introduced in the WEGO world have been improvements that were not available back then. Secondly this software is now way past any new features and the only modifications ...

I would say EF on for player how dont care that much historical accuracy but want to explore tactical options and EF off for player who want more just re-enact history (as much game engine allows).

btw. AI always build fortified zones behind the lines and prepare defenses as human german players should do too especially Italy have very good defensive ground but it was historically very easy to defend.
