RE: Game-Balance Improvements for Upcoming Patch

<t> I think I've played enough at this point to be able to say that one of my biggest problems is with casualty discrepancies in battle. Even if you "barely" lose a battle, it seems as though there is an enormous difference between victor and loser casulaties in the battle. Several times in the ACW ...

RE: New Civil War Scenarios for Future Patches

I would simply do a spring 1862, spring 1863, and spring 1864 start.

I can provide deployments and strengths if needed.

RE: Crash at start-up

Try those driver updates for soundblaster. I think that's the culprit (of course I say this and I will crash next time out).

RE: Crash at start-up

I SEEM to be okay now. I'll inform if there is another crash, and start developing those "novideo"/"noaudio" directories.

Thanks again to everyone for the support/help/advice.

Undo?

<t> Can you "undo" your moves? Specifically, I accidentally ordered two academies for one city. Obviously I only wanted one, and I could not find out a way to undo my mistake. If there is not a way, I would suggest adding one (perhaps click on the building to be constructed, with an order to ...

RE: Emancipation imballance

<t> I'm a big fan of the old board game "War Between the States" - Decision Games (formerly SPI). They have something very similar to some of the ideas laid out here. The north can only emancipate when they are "ahead" in the game (each side gets political points). They are then ...

DUSTOFF - What is your video card? NVIDIA GeForce 6800 here. Maybe if the two of us have this device in common, we can better diagnose the problem.

Crash at start-up

<t> About half of the time now, the game is crashing for me at the start-up screen. It goes through the introduction, then hangs up. The guy comes on te screen to tell me that Kentucky has joined one side or the other, then it hangs up. What's more frightening, is that it crashed windows today. <br ...

RE: Emancipation imballance

<r> <QUOTE><s>[quote]</s>However there is a problem with making Euro intervention impossible if the USA emancipates. Everyone will do it to start. I think that maybe for the Union to do it without MAJOR repercussions you should have to be required to have a certain national will. Had Lincoln done ...
