Re: Error Message after scraping and creating new strategem

Loving the game, but I am having this error and similar message frequently when I am creating stratagems from scrapped ones. I have taken to saving just before I do so.
Havent got one to hand but its always with the "index outside bounds of the array

Re: V1.8.11.26a crash to desktop

Definitely happening in same place. Last events in the ops log are arrivals of japanese units with the last being "43rd Const Co arrives at Tokyo". I see that appear on the screen when running the go and then everything crashes.

Re: V1.8.11.26a crash to desktop

No Further ideas? Otherwise we are going to have to fold a campaign thats being running 3 real time years...

To update further.
I have tried a full reinstall and repatch,
tried numerous combinations of the switches at the start,
different resolutions, and even an update to the latest beta patch ...

Re: Late war Japanese incentive( No Galliver)

Supply produced on last turn (from Tracker) was approx 14k in HI, 5k in China/Korea/Manchucko, and roughly 2k elsewhere.

As noted game is on pause till we can sort out why we have a crash to desktop

Re: V1.8.11.26a crash to desktop

We were nowhere near 3:1- we were roughly at 1.3:1! (Japanese player takes umbrage....)

We went back a turn and I redid my go and sent it, and my oppoent redid his go and sent it back to me, in case we had a corrupted file in some way- I am still getting a crash on the new go at the same point very ...

Re: V1.8.11.26a crash to desktop

I also tried running the go on my laptop as well as on my desktop. Exactly the same thing happened at exactly the same point in time, so it feels program related rather than computer related.
I remember years ago there was an issue re the number of pilots in the game which could cause an issue ...

Re: Late war Japanese incentive( No Galliver)

Thanks.

Think I have done virtually all of those already. Bombers have been grounded, ground troops put on rest save for aircraft support and AA, and factory repairs switched off. Havent switched off plane replacements, so if we can get the game working again then will look at that as my next step.

Re: Japan ASW assets

As I keep track in my PBEM game of the reported sinkings of various categories of vessels ( so subject to FOW) I can say that my reported US sub sinkings are 18 at end 42, 36 at end 43, 133 at end 44, and currently at 186 at end April 45.The E boats make a huge difference.
I would say I spent some ...

Re: Late war Japanese incentive( No Galliver)

Currently at 28th May 1945. No real change to situation outlined above, just slowly been whittled down by bomber raids and landings. Saipan has now fully fallen, as has Okinawa which was his next target., and I am dreadfully low on supply points everywhere. Havent been able to sneak any fuel or oil ...

V1.8.11.26a crash to desktop

My opponent and I are currently playing the full campiagn, but starting the day after Pearl Harbour. We are in late May 1945. I am playing Japan. On the last go he sent, the go runs but when watching the combat replay when it get right to the end ( ie when its telling me which new airgroups have ...

Re: Late war Japanese incentive( No Galliver)

Thanks.
Have been trying to do the "hit them where the deathstar isn't", but lost two fleet carriers last time I tried that when a fleet carrier and a couple of CVE's showed up where I thought there were tankers..Needed better intelligence.....
Very low on surface assets!
We are doing standard ...

Late war Japanese incentive( No Galliver)

Playing a PBEM as Japan and we have reached end of April 1945, which is furthest I have got in a PBEM, (and against AI.).Want to keep going until the at least the end of the real war, but looking for some encouragement/advice as feeling pretty dispirited/PO'd at the moment.
Strategic situation is ...

Re: Okhas and instructors

Thanks both. First time I have been in the editor since buying WITP so so so many years ago.
Playing scenario 8 and unfortunately the Okha is set not to produce. Will need to find some other way to try to whittle down the death star ( and the massed bomber raids as well).

If it was being produced ...

Okhas and instructors

Playing as Japan in a standard scenario long running PBEM and currently in Feb 1945. I have never been so far in the game, even against the AI, and have a couple of queries which I can't seem to sort out, searching the forum.
1) I am getting lots of Japanese air training groups (too late!) and there ...

<t> Well behind in realising another update was on the cards, but having read through the list can I add my pleas to keep the ability to play with miniatures, and then import the results back into the game. Against the AI would be great as well as would be a functioning Napoleonic campaign game with ...
