RE: TCP/IP Assertion Failed!

<t> Ericbabe,<br/>
From my perspective it was difficult to believe that the detailed battle error did not show up in your testing... I stand corrected. Past bad experiences with other games led me to believe I was in for more of the same here (Matrix).<br/>

Please Be Honest About FoF

<t> Might I suggest, that in your online store where you sell FoF, under game Data, please change the "TCP/IP: Yes" to no. The game does not work TCP/IP. You never tested the TCP/IP functionality of the game outside of your LAN and just assumed it would work.<br/>

RE: TCP/IP Assertion Failed!

<t> I think that is a good call Eric, playing TCP/IP outside of your LAN. You should see the detailed battle freeze right away. After you get that, reload the auto-save and try to continue playing. Then play a quick game using instant battles only and you should come across the random assertion ...

RE: TCP/IP Assertion Failed!

<t> Eric,<br/>
I think there are two TCP/IP problems going on here. Yes the game freezes in detailed combat. I have had it freeze during the 1st battle and the second. The game never makes it past the second detailed battle without freezing. If the game freezes during the detailed battle and you ...

RE: TCP/IP Problems

<t> We played two games, the first one ended when we initiated a detailed battle. The game froze during the detailed battle. We could scroll around the screen, open the advance menu and do other things, but the game had no units selected and just sat there as if paused. We had to control/alt/delete ...

RE: TCP/IP Assertion Failed!

<t> Eric, I am not trying to be a jerk here or anything, but everytime Scipio666 and I try and play this game TCP/IP we get Assertion Failed ! errors. Reading from other posts, this same problem appears in LAN games as well. Scipio666 emailed you the save game files from one such game. I am not sure ...

TCP/IP Assertion Failed!

<t> This is an error I get when playing TCP/IP games with Scipio666. It appears after doing first detailed battle. Reloading the saved game or auto save does not cure the problem. Anyone have any ideas on what may be causing this ? It appears the game only works in multiplayer for PBEM games. Anyone ...

<t> Eric, you will have to excuse me, computer software is not my area of expertise, I was simply speculating as to what might be the cause. <br/>

ericbabe, help...

<t> Eric, I need your help ! A friend and I play these types of games TCP/IP. The only thing we use the AI for is basic game testing, as we get the most enjoyment out of playing against each other (been doing this for ten years and countless games). The problem is, we can not connect TCP/IP with ...

RE: Appears Broken

Thanks for ur reply Dan, but my friend has DSL and can't host. Turning off my XP firewall Should eliminate it from being a problem. Although, I did add it to my exceptions list and will try the game again later today. Seems odd, all the other TCP/IP games we play, we have no trouble.

Appears Broken

<t> Me and a friend just purchased this game for online play. The game appears to have the Campaign/Strategy depth that we enjoy playing. Unfortunately, the play by TCP/IP appears to be broken. I select remote game, then the TCP/IP option, a little box pops up and I do not enter anything and hit "OK ...
