RE: The influence of altitude in air combat

<t> Thanks castor troy, you give me a lot of informations<br/>
<br/>
So the most important factor is radar, no matter at what altitude the planes fly.<br/>
<br/>
But I still have one question:<br/>
<br/>
for example, when a 1000 feet plane bounce a 30000 feet one, what is the exact altitute ...

RE: The influence of altitude in air combat

<t> Hi rtrapasso, thanks for reminding me this rule.<br/>
But I still have some questions<br/>
<br/>
1. for P39 P400, they should fight at the height <10000. But what are the differences if the planes fly at 5000, 7000 or 8000? The same?<br/>
<br/>
2. Except P39 P400, other planes will not be ...

The influence of altitude in air combat

I thought for fighter vs fighter combat, the altitude had no influence, but it seem that is not correct.
Can anyone tell me or give me a tip on what the influences of altitude are in air combat? For example P39 vs zero or P40 vs zero.

RE: Indomitable sunk!

<t> hi George<br/>
&nbsp;<br/>
In my opionion, a CV combat on Apr 42 is not very wise, especially your TFs were out of the land-based aircraft help. But I would say a 2:5 score is not very bad, also CV Soryo and some japanese ships were damaged. I may earn times to build up your defense in South ...

Hi GP

A good result until now, I think. Your opponent must feel regret to lose this chance.[;)]

RE: Keep down the Rising Sun! Pat vs Chuck - allied

Hi,Feinder, a lot of good suggestions
But, one point, I think it is not the best idea to make RN CVs the major target of Japanese strike. Because in the late game, RN CVs can carry Corsair, when US CVs still carry Hellcat. Corsair is very powerful.

An interesting strat
But my question is, if you move that brit div forward, what do you have to protect India?
Before March 1942, only 7th armor Brigade can be expected

RE: Early Allied Fighter, the best ? And experience ?

<t> Yes, Brad, the gun value and the speed of the Hurricane are not bad. And the British pilot's exps are normally higher than 60. But according to my experience in the early game, they can not get good score when against the zeros with high exp. Sometimes, the P40s (such as 24FG, except the high ...

among these 4, P38 and SF are better. But with high exp pilots, P40e also can do good job. And, forget hurricane, in my opinion[:-]

RE: Naval attack efficiency

hi

I think the problem is mainly due to the experience of the pilots. Be patient, you will find the LBs can get some good results soon

RE: night airfield attack

Wow[&:], it seems that the experience is the most important?
Or because B29 appearing later in the game is too powerful?
