Re: The Sky’s the Limit- PBEM GC 41 jubjub (Axis) vs. M60A3TTS (Soviet)

What caused the Axis flak losses? T1-T102 average 5/turn and then 127 in one turn?

Re: The Case of the Missing Manpower

Disabled that leave the DISabled Pool get substracted from the turn's "Manpower Losses" graph, since they end their casualty status

Yes, that means that the T94 gross losses is actually 180k, not 153k. If the 153k figure is used (which M60 did to get 894k total), 1% of disabled pool should NOT be ...

Re: The Case of the Missing Manpower

This is labeled Conjecture.
Returning disabled are included in the turn losses. Some AAR entries shows a negative number of lost disabled - more returning than lost.
Take the T94 Ground losses you published July 11. There are 47 820 lost, but that includes the 27 000 or so returned. The gross lost ...

Re: The Sky’s the Limit- PBEM GC 41 jubjub (Axis) vs. M60A3TTS (Soviet)

Magnificent!

The low Axis casualties shown in the break out combat reports underline how large the pocket elimination capture figures really are. The 4k Axis guns lost will not be replaced by an event either.

28,210 representing 1% of the disabled pool characterized as lightly wounded and ...

Week 67 27 September 1942

...the elimination of over 80,000 Axis troops would have required a considerably higher cost had the Soviet ground forces been required to inflict them.

Week 70 18 October 1942

Here is where 95% of the action will be taking place for the forseeable future ...

Re: Ammo/Need - Axis vs Soviets

Think of need as reported (to Quartermaster) need, perhaps draw is a better term.

Soviets will not draw and will therefore not recieve full ammo complement. That will lead to some firing rolls failing due to low ammo, which is the intended effect.

Thanks everyone.

I thought it would be clearer if I hid the units, turns out that was the wrong choice. I agree: HQ bonus is the cause.

Tracing into El Aghelia

Why does it cost two point to trace into El Aghelia? As can be seen, it costs one point to trace into Sidi Barani.

This is not from a mod, in 'Europe 1939 Small Fleet 41 Winter' / _grandStrategy at least, there is:

//Axis plan list
//1 = Historical
//2 = Mediterranean Strategy

Re: Unshipped production in SA

(Persia) Iraq can be conquered; therefore, there is a point to placing the resources on the map. Making an off-map hex with non-utilized resources makes no sense.

Unshipped production in SA

Hex (7,0) shows 10 production points. The convoy from SA to U.K. is 5 production & 30 oil. How do I get the 5 unshipped production points to U.K.?

Re: Vehicle/Need - Axis vs Soviets

"Assault fronts Status removes one of this Artillery modifiers"

Does the other modifier disappear when the Soviet ammo rule expires? I think the date is 1/1/1944.

If so, the Soviets could be paying by having less ammo to fire. This might be implemented in a binary way, that is a highter ...

0 vehicles in the air base is interesting, where there any in the turn(s) before? If so, why are they gone now?

Also, why is there no fail for trucks, was supplying not even attempted?
