Forming Divisions

<t> Do you really need a Div HQ to form a Division? I don't think I have ever seen a Div HQ unit.<br/>
<br/>
I can't seem to figure out what prerequisites are needed to form a div. Sometimes I have the option available to my leader and other times (under what appears to be the same circumstances ...

Divisional Units

<t> What is the difference between the brigades that are listed above the unit panel when you hover over a division unit and a brigade that is next to the division in the unit panel? <br/>
<br/>
Am I correct to assume that they are part of the same "force"?<br/>
<br/>
Is the brigade that is to ...

Uber ANV

<t> Last night, playing my second beta game as the Union, in the Spring of '62 the South pulled all their forces from the west and rendezvoused with the ANV in Richmond. My AotP, never one to back down from a challenge, marched into F'Burg and awaited Lee's attack. Well, it came the very next turn ...

Gunboats

<t> In the new beta (friggin awesome game fellas!) I noticed that Gunboats are stilled eliminated very easily. I have played two games as the Union so far and have lost 6 gunboats total. It would be okay if they took a little damage each turn but on a given turn they go from a strength of 10 to zero ...

Upon searching the net it concludes that they did land on Utah. Is there any way some might have come upon Omaha on the 12th? Because that is what I seem to recall. I am going off of memory and am just curious. <br/>

<t> I am positive that the 9th ID came ashore at Utah.&nbsp; They were apart of Collins' VII Corps which had the Cotentin Penisula as their area of operations.&nbsp; The American V Corps (1st and 29th ID) landed at Omaha.&nbsp; Their area of operations was linking up with the British beaches ...

The 9th ID comprised of the 39th, 47th and 60th Regts. landed in Normanday on June 10th (D+4) on Utah Beach and not on Omaha.&nbsp; They did see action in N.Africa, Sicily and Western Europe throughout WWII.

RE: XX inch Dahlgrens and Rodmans, Nope.

<t> I am bored and fed up with this guys ramblings.&nbsp; He only sees things from his point of view and it tries to squash anyone who disagrees with him, like some sort of ACW gestapo.&nbsp; Christof139 if you are so unhappy with things why do you go off and create your own game.&nbsp; That seems ...

RE: XX inch Dahlgrens and Rodmans, Nope.

Well said, GQ.&nbsp; I have to say that even without the upcoming patch, FOF is the single greatest civil war themed game ever created.&nbsp; I hope games in the future will include the concept of both strategic and tactical maps.&nbsp; Simply brilliant!

<t> Ugh!&nbsp; Nothing more than a forum bully.&nbsp; So only a few uber Dahlgren guns were produced IRL.&nbsp; This is a game where you can change what happened IRL.&nbsp; You can have McClellan lead a successful campaign against Lee, the South can actually win the war, the North can choose not to ...

We have to write a readme file documenting all these changes?!? Oh, hell, you just delayed the patch another three weeks...

That is a cruel joke....[:-]

RE: So what next

<t> The North can get very strong and I do not have too difficult a time against the South.&nbsp; I play at one of the middle to high difficulty settings with no bonuses.&nbsp; You just have to be patient, build quality armies, build siege armies with four siege artillery and try to get the South to ...

I believe there is a button to select/unselect on your container's main screen interface. It sould be right next to the seek/avoid battle button.

RE: ETA on the Patch

I kind've disagreewith Mr.Jackson.&nbsp; I think the game feels quite finished and the patch will only make it better.&nbsp; As for the flag nonsense, I love the flags and spend a good bit of time "organizing" my armies with flags.

<t> Detailed battles all the way except for the 110K vs 3K.&nbsp; Love the detailed battles.&nbsp; It is where you can see all your newly purchased toys and put them to use.&nbsp; When I say toys I am referring to new weapons, attributes, officers, etc.&nbsp; It really takes this game to a whole new ...
