Ewell "old baldy" did his best service for the CSA while as a division commander under Jackson...so maybe some of the same traits of Jackson

Magruder fought in the Peninsula campaign so maybe swampwise and something of a trickster after fooling the yankees by marching a regiment through a clearing all day so they imagined a much larger force

I believe that the CSA had a law that brigades were to be comprised of regiments all from the same state but the law wasn't passed until 1862 and compliance was not 100%
