RE: Bill Trotter's AAR at The Wargamer

I also had trouble with FRAPS. I ended up doing it the old fashion way by hitting the PRINT SCREEN button and than Control "C" to copy. I than pasted it in the PAINT program and changed it to jpeg.

RE: Cavalry vs Cavalry bug?

<t> This is a very interesting thread. One thing really stood out and that was Iron Warrior regarding infantry's fear of advancing on cav is substantiated by first hand historical writings. I know Tim is monitoring these closely and I'm sure that in future releases this will be dealt with. <br ...

Jackx, that's a first class AAR. You'll have to tell how you do the expandable screens.

Jackx,

I've never had that happen, but than again I've never been in a situation where this would have happened. I'm going to have to check this out.

It works like this: When you select a scenario to play you are prompted as to whether you want to play Human vs. Human, Email Opponent, etc. For solo play you need to select Human vs. Human. Below the Human vs. Human selection you'll see <U ...

RE: Solo play

I found out by accident that if you turn off the Fog of War option the replay is also turned off. Since you are playing solo (as I do quite frequently) you really don't need to keep the Fog of War option on anyway.

<t> Go to the SupportFiles folder, then click on the BattleFiles folder, then the Default folder and finally the Audio folder. At the bottom you'll see Theme1, Theme2 and Theme3. From the way I'm reading the manual you can have up to 5 themes (adding 2 more). Tim will have to correct me on this if I ...

I believe all mine were in mp3 formate. If you're not sure, back up or rename the originals and plug in the ones you've downloaded. I may do this myself just to see if it works.

RE: Why buy it if you have the others?

Not to mention the fact that this new version is a lot more fun to play; it's faster moving, units still incur disruption but the game doesn't grind to a halt while you're trying to reorganize units under fire. You can actually play the Austrian and have fun doing it.

RE: Is this game easy to learn?

The game play is easy. As far as the graphics being ugly I don't think so, but that's a personal prospective. My question to everyone would be, how many 7 Yrs War games out there are there? Answer, not many.
