RE: 1st day buy.

I did buy it today (and I never even heard of it before... but I love TBS, Science Fiction and Alpha Centauri). Of course I can't say anything about stuff like balance or AI yet but I can report that it works well on my system, no problems starting or playing it.

RE: Price?

<t> Hmm... this is a tough one. I've often thought that I would gladly pay a lot more money for selected games. For games that I know are awesome and that I would play a lot.<br/>
<br/>
But! This game doesn't fall into this category. I'm sure it's a great game and I would have bought it on impulse ...

Sorry if I came off as too harsh (not a native speaker). I sure can understand the problems you have with this. It just sounds a little weird. I'll shut up for now.&nbsp;[:)]

RE: Gamestop shipping Armada already!

<r> Lol, so after Gamestop decided to pull a fast one on you and release four(!) days early, you have to go and beg them for being allowed to release as well? I hope I misunderstood this, else you might want to reconsider the way you do business. <E>:P</E><br/>

I'm not sure I get this. An answer from whom? You are the publisher, aren't you? It's up to you when to release it, isn't it?

Maybe there is no reply because they are busy getting the download ready.

Then again maybe not. Sure would appreciate it coming out soon since the evening is still young in Europe. Rapidly growing older, though.

RE: After action report #2: QaQa

<t> Thanks for the clarification. I was (and still am a little) just worried that this might end up like a whole bunch of other (SF) strategy/empire building games: Cool features and nice on paper but with an AI that's not worth playing against (like the Space Empires series, Dominions 3, ...).<br ...

RE: After action report #2: QaQa

<t> I don't like how you easily conquered your early neighbors in both of your AARs. Looks like pretty bad AI to me. Considering these were your first games, I expect that with some practise you will be able to walk all over the AI in later stages of the game as well. Not good. Are there any ...

Since you say you love the period and Ageod's AI: You are aware that they just released their newest title "Napoleon's Campaigns"?

RE: What's the big deal?

<r> Yes, I'm aware of that... but I don't play PBEM (or multiplayer in general), hence my question about the AI. Now, even though you didn't directly answer that question, I think it's safe to assume from your reply that my assessment of the AI is correct and I will skip this game. Which is a shame ...

RE: What's the big deal?

So, if I understand you guys correctly, this game is more or less pointless to play solo since the most enjoyable part seems to be the politics and diplomacy and I suppose the AI isn't any better in these areas than in other games - meaning abysmal. Right? Wrong?

"In some form at some point" is too vague for me, so I will wait for that "some point" to come before I get it. Thanks for the info.

Thanks, that sounds good. It would be even better if eventually you added the extensions (CAG, ...) to the PC version. If you promise to do so, I will buy and download it right away. Deal? [:)]

Content/Replayability

<t> So, I'm interested in this game but I'm wondering about how much content is actually in there (I know, 3 campaigns (or 4 with the Syria one?), but what does that actually mean? How much is in a campaign?)<br/>
Also, if I play the campaign again, will it be different? By how much? Just a few ...

<t> So, I finally had some time to try it out... and I like it.<br/>
On my first mission, only one of my guys (well, it was a woman, actually) survived, 3 got injured and one killed (tank). The tactical AI sure knows what it is doing. That was on "easy", btw.<br/>

RE: Custom resolution

<t> Ah, ok, I thought you wanted to report this as some kind of bug, which it isn't. It's just what the devs chose to do. Sorry for the misunderstanding.<br/>
