Enjoying the game

Great game, it feels like a natural expansion of AB 1. I like the vehicles in 3D format, it helps immersion. Is there any way to "record" a scenario being played in a way that I could "watch" all the action later, moving the camera from here to there?

Looking for the terrain file used for Red Barricades scenarios

Last night I decided to play again "One Down, two to go", the great scenario Mr. Rico made, and I found out that I don't have anymore the original terrain file created for those scenarios. It seems that some building graphics were superseded by the Reichstag Mod terrain file. Could anyone help me by ...

Re: Wishlist

Call me crazy but I would like to see an operational version of this game with an Air dimension added. Something similar to Avalon Hill's Tac Air, with aerial recon, air to air combat, SEAD missions, wild weasels, etc.

Re: Artillery algorithms need a tweak

It seems to me that movement is never really simultaneous in this game. Like in a sort of chess play, at any given time only one unit is moving only one hex, while the other units remain momentarily in their places. By contrast, in the "real world" three units advancing in tandem along the same road ...

Re: Purchase issue

Thank you. Hopefully the issue will be solved. It is odd, because I bought dozens of games from you guys.

Re: Purchase issue

Every time I tried to purchase it, the following message shows up: "Error shopping cart. The request cannot be fulfilled for the current shopper". And I am in the US. I hope they don't charge me for every unsuccessful attempt.

Re: First screenshot of my project

Actually the closest match is Scenario 9, Coburg -Tale of two cities, but the area covered by Tac Air is bigger than that scenario map. What I did was to create a submap using "The bolt out of the blue" map in order to include the area south of Bamberg and east of Kulmbach. Nato VII Corps defends ...

Re: First screenshot of my project

Excellent! Everything looks great, map and unit graphics. It will be an outstanding mod.
I still have the board game and played it a few times. In my experience with the original game and Danube Front, the Soviet attack from the east has more chances of success than the one from the north.
I am ...

Re: First screenshot of my project

Tac Air? As in Avalon Hill's Tac Air? I love that game. I bought Danube Front just to play its Scenario # 12 on it. Great idea and a great looking project so far!

Re: Questions before possible purchase

Regarding the editor's flexibility, would be possible to create a tactical level Stalingrad scenario using 250 meters per hex, 3 turns per day/night, with an overlay of the iconic city or entirely new tiles created to reflect the particularities of every hex? In that case, what would be the effect ...

RE: Very nice so far

Thanks guys for a job well done, the map graphics, the AI behavior and the generous number of scenarios, all of which imply tons of research and years of dedication. CS games are among my favorites and of those games this is my new favorite.

RE: Moch's battalion advances on Neuville

<t> This scenario is a fun and dynamic puzzle that favors heavily the defender. I was able to get a victory once, but I think it was due to just sheer luck. I have questions regarding the way the game system tries to recreate real tactical warfare. For instance, you cannot assault a given unit ...

RE: Oh hum

With the game at regiment level, I wonder how some situations in which divisions that shrunk to only a few hundred men and still fought will be reflected.

RE: Eastern Front: Finding the Right Ground Scale...

<t> Any chance, in the city of Stalingrad, to have units from both sides fighting within the same hex for the posession of that hex? That would reflect what happened historically: small units infiltrating enemy controlled areas. For instance, at some point a company of German pioneers got to the ...

New to the game, willing to learn, and looking for an opponent

Any books on the subject that you can recommend?

I am looking for a more or less comprehensive or at least deep enough book of the campaign.
