RE: RA troop conversions for IJN

Yeah, especially since you start the game with several Toho and Ehime class ships converted to troop carriers.

Thanks, Nomad. I suspected it was a size thing.

RA troop conversions for IJN

For some reason, I can't convert come of my xAK to troop transports. Namely, Toho and Ehime class. Aden class can convert, but I would prefer something with a smaller capacity. Ships are in Osaka, so it's not a port size issue. Am I missing something?

RE: Calling all lurkers (and forumites) - STATUS UPDATE please!

Just got back after a lengthy hiatus, started a game against Spiros, playing the Empire in RA. We are only two turns into the game. On the bright side, Hiryu and
Soryu caught Boise on December 7th and sunk her, together with Houston, so I've already won. [:D]

RE: OT: Friendly Fire?

You left out the best part [:D]
As a result of this friendly fire incident, ships would routinely greet the destroyer with the hail "Don't shoot! We're Republicans!"

RE: A drop in pilot experience

Aha, that makes sense. So I should have pulled the lot into reserve in December. Thanks.

RE: A drop in pilot experience

<t> Well, that's just the thing, I haven't pulled too many pilots out. There were 1800 of them on December 31st with exp 45, 194 were added on January first and the whole bunch dropped to 36. Now, I'm about as far as you can get from being a mathematically literate person, but something just doesn't...

RE: A drop in pilot experience

<r> Nope, these are the guys that graduated flight school and are ready for deployment. In December, their experience was 45, and all of a sudden it dropped to 36, just a point more than guys in 10-12 month training. Wasn't 45/55 starting experience always a thing, ever since WitP?<br/> <IMG src="ht...

RE: A drop in pilot experience

RA. But shouldn't the Army graduates always have 45 exp, at least in 1942? Just like the Navy ones have 55? Am I missing something?

A drop in pilot experience

Can someone explain what happened to my Army pilots in training on turn 26? Why did their experience drop?

I had my brush with floods to know how much that sucks. You guys can't seem to catch a break with the weather lately. Hopefully, this Irma bitch will blow off some steam before making a landfall.

Returning JFB looking for less-than-stellar Allied opponent

<t> I’m trying to get back into WiTP AE after two years and I’m afraid I have mostly forgotten even what little I knew about playing the game. Any good player would quickly get bored with my mistakes, so I’m looking for someone who isn’t as experienced to have some fun with while we blunder together...

Damn, I leave for a few days and you get yourself into hospital. AE cold turkey is no joke, kids [:D]

So, if you had enough of those sponge baths, we need to get along with our program, it's no fun if I ruin the Japanese empire by myself.

Is that really "now"? I don't think there's enough snow. That looks like summer in Alaska. [:D]

RE: AV's and land based planes

So, they can be used as NavSearch in ASW TFs or spotters in resource convoys?

RE: AV's and land based planes

Speaking of AVs, do they function like CS when in convoy? Do they launch and recover planes en route or only if anchored in port?
