Berlin STILL falls too easily

<t> I posted about this months ago and then stopped playing the game till a decent patch came out. The problem remains; Berlin still falls way too easily, despite giving the Axis a medium advantage. I took it in May '43 for crying out loud!<br/>

RE: Can't attack hex

Thanks for that. Don't worry, I'm not quite so thick that I don't activate the HQs. The problem might be one of stacking limits. I'll check it out later and get back.

Can't attack hex

This question has probably been asked before, so apologies if it has been. As a novice at this game I'm wondering why your units something can't attack enemy hexes.

Also, a subsidiary question; when and how do you use air support to spy on enemy units?

Thanks

RE: Trenches

Sorry, I'm still&nbsp;being thick here. Do you mean the panel down at the&nbsp;bottom of screen? When I bring the mouse down to it the hax location changes.

Trenches

This is a very silly question I'm sure, but can someone tell me how I use trench points, that is, how do I get me men into trenches?

Thanks

RE: Tanks v tanks

<t> These historical discussions&nbsp;are very interesting but I was hoping to get a discussion going about tanks v tanks in the game! Obviously a lot depends on how developed your tank technology is in the game, but in my latest campaign allied armour was inferior to German armour in 42/43 and was ...

<t> A follow-up to my 'Berlin falls too easily' post of a couple of days ago.<br/>
<br/>
From an AI point of view the real pity is that in 1942 when my US and UK armies invaded France a handful of Panzer corps in France would have wreaked havoc. The one Panzer corps they did have in France caused ...

RE: Making this a great, not a good game

<t> In response to Fatehunter I'd definitely agree that your mistake was to go after Yugoslavia, and maybe even to invade England before Russia. Yugoslavia is of no strategic importance and historically the Germans only went in to rescue the Italians. After taking France I went straight after the ...

RE: Making this a great, not a good game

<t> In response to SMK, yes, you do have to make choices, but the Germans were able to invade Russia AND have a decent U-boat campaign in the Altantic. They had a decent garrison in France AND a big army in Russia, etc, etc.<br/>

Making this a great, not a good game

<t> Yesterday I posted about how easily Berlin fell. (To the Brits in early 1944 and the Germans pulled none of their army back from Russia to defend it, nor they did surround it with new units).<br/>

Here are a few more observations (in no particular order) based on almost three weeks of ...

<t> Re the message from Johan, here are some answers to his questions (I'm the original poster on this thread).<br/>

1) Did Axis AI send ANY units back from east front to protect for example Paris or Berlin? <br/>

Answer: None that I'm aware of. About three units turned up (two ...

Berlin falls without a fight - huge design flaw

<t> I was playing as the allies. The USSR was in real trouble so I risked an invasion of France in July 1942. The idea was to take some of the pressure off Russia. This didn't happen. Instead I met very little resistance and took Berlin in no time at all. This caused Germany to surrender even though ...
