RE: Empty lobby

When you enter the lobby you should be greeted by the sowmp bot who directs you to www.sowmp.com to find the multiplayer community. [:)]

RE: Great Game & Expected Frustration

<r> <QUOTE><s>[quote]</s>Sometimes I think well made crisp and clear abstract units are better..so your imagination can fly. www.sowmp.com -- Multiplayer Community Website

Just a bump so no passers-by get the impression Scourge of War multiplayer is inactive because this forum is idle.

We're still playing battles every day at www.sowmp.com.

RE: New Laptop - will it be enough?

<t> I have a laptop with an I5 2500 @ 2.5ghz, 8GB ram, and the HD Graphics 3000. <br/>
<br/>
SOW will run, but not very well. I am not sure how much of the problem is the processor vs the graphics, but I think both are the limiting factor at different times. SOW only uses one processor thread. It ...

RE: CC: Last Stand Arnhem Public Beta v5.60.53b Now Available!

I started a multiplayer campaign using v5.60.51, before I knew about this beta patch.

Does anyone know if it's savegame compatible? Or has anyone tried migrating a save to the beta, and continuing on?

2ndACR -
To resupply, move your regiment right next to the wagon. The resupply button is far less reliable than just moving the wagon and regiment together.

RE: PBEM?

It is easy to find MP players for this: www.sowmp.com.

There are MP games every day. Generally you won't find anyone waiting in the MP lobby, they'll be on Teamspeak. Waiting in the lobby just isn't practical.

TC2M units are only about 8% higher res than SOW. But they used more lighting for the renders which is mainly why they look sharper.

RE: Player Control

<t> Right, the pathing is fine. By default they don't allow regiments to march through each other, that's all it is. This gets complicated so people who don't understand get really frustrated.<br/>

However, using waypoints, players can get regiments to go exactly where they want. What we ...

RE: Can one save in multiplayer?

<t> It doesn't implement itself.<br/>
<br/>
Most MP games are between one and two hours long. Saving a larger MP game would be pointless often, since next time you play, there would be a different group of people available. <br/>

You can save during a multiplayer game, and then load the savegame in singleplayer later.

But you can't launch a multiplayer game using a saved game.

RE: Singleplayer Persistent Campaign

Yes, there is no cavalry. I don't care for cavalry in the game, which is why I never added it to my MP mod -- and the singleplayer version is basically a copy of the MP version.
