RE: New Scenario For Testing: Operation Linebacker II (1972)

<t> Thanks for this scenario. It brings back a lot of memories. I flew four of these Linebacker II missions out of Guam as a gunner in a B-52G model. I flew on the 20th, 23rd. 26th, and 29th. We also had tanker support (KC-135's) out of Guam and Clarke AB, in addition to UTapao and Kadena. There ...

RE: Did Japanese employ skip-bombing?

<t> All I can tell you is that my father did fly a couple of skip bombing missions with Col. (Pappy) Gunn in the Bismark Sea when Col. Gunn took out one of the first 75mm modified B-25's that was converted at Eagle Farm. My dad was a TSGT and he was along to insure that the 75mm was working. As he ...

RE: Ruby, Alaska

<t> Andrew, I wouldn't worry locating Ruby vrs. Galana on the map for an interior location of Alaska. the two communities are only about 40 miles apart. (20 minutes by air) There was a small military base at Galana up until about 2004, then it was turned over to the city of Galana, and part of ...

RE: The JAAF starts ashore in Thailand???

Sid, why do you do this? I actually enjoyed your RHS mod. But I don't understand why you are writing in this vein? it's one thing to ask a question or a clarification, but it's obvious your going beyond that. I'm just curious as to why?
