RE: Forced Marching

<r> But that was kinda one of my points, maybe not well made. There's always deserters, fatigue losses, stragglers whatever in any of the armies at this time but if you pay for supply they don't disappear. I consider that the game is auto replacing them by drawing recruits through the depots. It's ...

RE: Forced Marching

<t> I have'nt read it but I should, I notice it get's recommended every time I see a discussion on the 1812 campaign. <br/>
&nbsp;<br/>
And I agree&nbsp;there should be an extra penalty if a Corps force marches and forages (and I'm not entirely sure the French should be able to use depot supply at ...

RE: Forced Marching

<t> Your kidding right? We're talking about Corps sized formations with a continuous relay of wagons or whatever&nbsp;moving supplies and materiel&nbsp;between the depots and the army&nbsp;(represented in the game by the supply chain). And you're trying to tell me that an&nbsp;army&nbsp;marching ...

RE: Forced Marching

<r> Yeh guys I know what forced marching is and what it's for but troops are'nt always marching away from their depots and when supply lines are getting shorter not being able to use depot supply makes no sense. <br/>
&nbsp;<br/>
Also there's a game mechanism to reflect outmarching supply. Depots ...

RE: Chit Selection For Dummies

<t> Hi tgb,<br/>
<br/>
Chit selection is one of those things where you'll go mad if you try and second guess too much. Try and focus on your own objectives. (I learnt this when playing against a friend who used to shake the chits in his hand and draw one at random....try outpicking that). <br ...

RE: Finland battle bug

<t> I had a fun one where the British attacked&nbsp;my French outside London, they beat me but when the game returned to the map I had been retreated and the British were in the area on their side of the channel&nbsp;crossing arrow. Prevented the Dutch Corps from crossing (though they got their ...

RE: Forced Marching

I don't like not being able to use depot supply after force marching. It does'nt make any sense to me. Especially when invasion supply can be used.

RE: Forming Poland

<t> OK, different game just formed Poland with every possible Polish province included and no problem. (It's huge and funny). Don't know why it would'nt do it for me before, though that does seem to be a bit of an issue I've found. Sometimes the game does'nt like doing what it's told (for all sorts ...

Unable to place Naples II Corps

<t> There's a problem when placing the II Naples Corps. <br/>
<br/>
French controlled I've tried placing the II Corps on Naples and the '4' area (633) up by Ancona. 1st time I tried to place on Naples I thought I'd forgotten to purchase in the eco phase by accident but second time same thing ...

Silesia Capital Problem

Sorry if this has been reported already.

Silesia is French conquered....Breslau is shown as the capital on the map and French garrisoned. The Prussians garrison Glogau and conquer Silesia back next month. Something needs to be fixed :)

RE: Weird Naval Combat Result

<t> From memory I purposely attacked the British fleet in the blockade box. But it could have been a British interception. The combat was in the blockade box, anyway. <br/>
<br/>
Like I say when the screen changed back from the combat to the map the location of the (defeated) British fleet was ...

Weird Naval Combat Result

<t> I just got a really weird naval combat outcome. Swedish heavy and light fleets moving as a stack attacked a British light fleet in the Amsterdam blockade box. Swedes won, and after the combat finished the English fleet is in London.....all well and good. The funky bit is the Swedish fleets have ...

RE: Because we need more bugs

<r> Hi,<br/>
&nbsp;<br/>
As far as I'm aware gaining control of a minor when it has war declared on it does not automatically put you at war with the other major power. It's just a mechanism so that someone runs the minor. From memory in the boardgame if no-one wanted control of the minor it did ...

Forming Poland

<t> Hi,<br/>
<br/>
Fist I'd like to say I've been waiting for this game since the original announcement, however many years ago that was, and thanks for finally getting there. First Impressions mostly good....interface is a bit clunky and I would have liked a zoom feature for the map, but hey at ...
