RE: CleverDevils2 AAR

<t> Turkey here.<br/>
<br/>
I am not sure what you expect Turkey to do in the game. I am trying to win and the best way for that at the moment is be allied with France. It gave me money and a chance to fight Russia while his main army and best leaders were far away. I was fortunate with chit ...

RE: CleverDevils2 AAR

I believe if you set the garrison's orders to surrender on breach you can stop the PP gain for the attacker and make him roll to take the city.

RE: The possibilty of manipulation

<t> Perhaps the phasing player can send an email to the Host or a non-playing neutral party with his chit selection before he sends the file to the defender. This email can then always be checked if need be. This assumes the attacker has to pick his chit first. I have not go that far in a PBEM so I ...

Forced Surrender

A rules quesion:

Is there any way to force a surrender in the game?.

I think in the board game if you took all the capitals they had to surrender.

Is this the case in the computer version?

Thanks

Monsieur Bonaparte,

You speak as if being imperialist, reactionary and counter-revolutionary is a bad thing!

What is the world coming too!

I don't think privateers make a huge difference so if some folks wants them I am happy to include them.

I am not clear on why we need to re-run the GAP program but I am not that familiar with it.<br/>
<br/>
I thought that when all the bids are in, the GAP program does it's magic and spits out a txt file with results, this is then imported in the EiA's ...

RE: new game anyone

<t> If the patch is coming up this week the I think we should wait. I am keen to start but lets give the patch a chance, no point getting frustrated with the game unnecessarily. Some if the naval bugs have required all sorts of house rules which we can avoid if we wait a week.<br/>

I had the exact same trouble with the Swedish fleets.

Is there something I am not doing?

RE: new game anyone

I thought the GAP program resolved ties etc before creating the txt file, if this is not the case then I agree we should wait for the patch to come out.

RE: new game anyone

Once all the bids are in we can at least get the txt file it creates to see who is playing which power.

I am not sure if we can do the setup pre-patch without risking issues. I am assuming all the existing games will be loading the patch and continuing so perhaps we can.

RE: new game anyone

I am keen to try the PBEM post-patch if space is available. There seem too many bugs to play pre-patch with any confidence with PBEM. The options suggested look fine though I would vote no to Leader Cas and no protect Prussia or anybody else rule. Anybody know when the patch is coming?

RE: pbem games turns

<t> You are right about it seeming the only way.<br/>
<br/>
My only concern is that a 100 turn campaign game becomes a 500 turn/phase game. For PBEM that could create very<br/>
long games with the busy lives we lead.<br/>
<br/>
Having said that I am still keen to try as I enjoyed the board game ...

pbem games turns

<t> Greetings,<br/>
<br/>
I was wondering how the turn sequence works in PBEM.<br/>
<br/>
Does each phase of the game constitute a mini-turn that requires each player to submit a file or can you do your whole turn in go and await the results. Just want to know what kind commitment is required to ...
