RE: Epic book series (any genre)

The Aubrey Maturin series gets my vote. Roughly 21 books, 7000 pages, but it's not the length, it's the quality.

^ Think he was referring to transport aircraft like C-5, C-130 and C-17, Early warning E-2 Hawkeye and E-3 AWACS, as well as some of the more secretive recon stuff like RQ-170.

Would it be OK for me to post some extra/free Steam codes in this thread?

FWIW, Most are from various indie bundles that I already owned some games from.

RE: What's an attack sub any good for?

<t> Delivering naval mines to enemy harbors and choke points is something modern attack subs can do very well. <br/>
<br/>
Mines aren't a particularly glamorous part of naval war but can be hugely important. Even the threat of being able to mine certain areas (like say, the entrance to the Persian ...

It's old (late 90s) but Soldiers at War by SSI is basically the original X-COM gameplay set in WW2.

RE: GTAV...WOW how many gigs!

Needing 60GB for a game in 2015 is...manageable.

Needing to free up 70+GB for an X-Plane 9 full install ~8 years ago (when a 250GB hard drive was typical) was a much bigger pain, IMO.

The patches work fine with the Steam version. <br/>

RE: Questions on Equipment: Leopard, Abrams, Chally, T-80BV...

^ I don't think it has anything to do with the fact its barrel is rifled, rather the Challenger uses 2 piece ammo (separate propellent charge) that limits the maximum penetrator rod length to approx 1/2 that of Leopard/Abrams AP rounds.

Bought it a few days ago when you posted this and finally got the many patches installed correctly today.

TF 4.3 is the latest/most current version, correct?

Anyway, it runs great now. Thanks for the heads up.
