Issues from the last 2 betas with regards to secondary placement still persist. Secondaries in the '5' slot (which shows after more than 10 assigned) leave ghosts behind when repositioning them.

For divisions, one thing I would really love to see is the ability for small (maybe <6000t) CL to act as DD leaders, maybe allowing a single one into DD divisions. The size limit could maybe scale with tech/date too.

Two other things that would be great;
1. We have a ship history which is awesome ...

Instead of getting Baltimore/Clevelands, I'm getting New Orleans class replacements. Were there certain slots in the Ships section of the scenario that were reserved for the respawned cruisers and carriers? WitP classic provided Baltimore/Clevelands, but AE is behaving differently for me ...

The low numbered naval gun devices and some other stuff in the same section are the devices from the original WITP - the WITP AE stuff is further down (1622-1627 for the 5in/38 for example).

AltWNT scenarios might be worth looking at, they have both data and art. Specifically SCEN#44, the ultimate BB one, has Amagi, Tosa, Kii and No.13 (Settsu) for the treaty era stuff. The other scenarios have a couple of other designs that might be interesting, including B65 and one of the interwar ...

Just a quick theory, but unless WITE does something different with how it calculates ranges, some of GGs games (WITP mainly from personal experience) calculate aircraft range as hexes. What this means is that the 'actual' range 'circle' is off, as on a hexmap a 'range' circle is actually a large hex ...

Considering that the 1.02.13 update specifically adjusted/added them for some weapons, I would assume that they are used, though as to how and if theres any hardcoded stuff going on we aren't aware of, is the better question.
