multi-hex fire groups

Is it possible to fire with multi-hex fire groups? If so, how do you select the units?

<t> I'm not really worried about AI vs. multi-player. For me, I'm not going to play it much if the interface doesn't improve. <br/>

I only just got it this weekend, so perhaps I'm missing things. When I click on a stack, rather than selecting all the units in the stack, I seem to have to ...

RE: hidden leader values

<t> I think the feeling the south is thought to be favoured with semi-random hidden ratings is because as the North there is so much pressure to attack and with those attack ratings hidden, it takes a little longer to figure out who are viable offensive leaders. Using historical leaders, you know ...

RE: hidden leader values

<t> I'm not sure this is correct. But maybe I don't understand the way movement works.<br/>
<br/>
As I understand it, the number of movement points a unit has is equal to the MP of the unit plus the skill of the leader. So if you have a leader with Inf 3 with a couple inf units attached (inf is ...

jscott- re: #1, for a different experience, try playing with semi-historical ratings. Then you have to figure out who is best for each job, each game.

I've got AGEOD's original ACW title, but I just haven't been able to get into it. Like other games of theirs that I own (Alea Jacta Est and the Revolutionary War one), I just can't get a handle on their interface. I think some of it is I find their maps hard to read. Too ...

RE: strange problem not fixed by re-install

Bah, figured it out. All my fault. The installer I had for the desktop was 1.03. Not sure why the game quit working in the first place that led to the re-install, but the re-installed version was one release behind. No wonder it wouldn't load the game file at that point.

hidden leader values

<t> I've been playing using semi-historical leader ratings whenever I can. It breaths a little new life into the game and moves it away from set openings or set uses for certain leaders (always use ldr x for training, always use ldr y for TC in the west, etc.). Makes the game slightly less ...

RE: strange problem not fixed by re-install

The installer I used to install on the laptop gave me version 1.040. Will check on which version I have on the desktop when I get home. I'm assuming it's the same but you never know. I don't see any patches on the Matrix site to get to a higher version.

Kentucky

Is there a place to see what the percentage chance is that Kentucky will align with the other side if you invade?

I'm guessing that if you're the Union, if you can wait a few months, the chances are less.

Another bump as this explanation is sticky-worthy.
