<t> I also had an early war American carrier with medium damage sink suddenly over night when it was making cruise speed a day out of Sydney following a carrier battle a few days before. It had been slowly recovering damage and seemed to be in no danger of sinking. However the end came quickly when ...

RE: Burma Air Superiority ?

That show that Rangoon was grossly over stacked with aircraft because of the extremely high ground loses when you bombed the air base there.

<t> In India the goal for the Allies is to defend the major ports first, until more resources arrive over the next 6-12 months. Once you have secured the ports then you can defend Ledo to ensure a supply flow into China to help your defense there. You might also garrison the few Islands in the India ...

RE: Early Blows

He has been exposed with the sinking of the majority of the RN and your taking of Chittagong which opens up the south-eastern plains of India and road to take Ledo and shut down supplies to China over the Hump. That will benfit your China campaign as his defenses crumble for lack of supplies.

<t> Some of the early war CVEs come replacement F4Fs and SBD squadrons already on them so, they are already ferrying aircraft. I use the Long Island to be a bridge to allow short legged F4Fs and SBDs to get to islands that they don't have the range for as I out eh Long Island between the bases and ...

<t> You need to defend the supply route to eastern and western OZ. Defend the major ports in India and the 3xterrain in China. Do that and he will come to you as you try to build up your Allied pools of LCUs squads and air planes. For the Allies it is a trade of space for time, if he is going slowly ...

I would suggest FoW for 7 of 8 BBs being sunk as your torpedo attack was at about 80% hit success. Did you see the float planes from the BBs being ground loses or the VPs that add up to 7 BBs being sunk?

<t> If he was running his damaged carrier at flank speed to stay ahead of your KB he might have suffered catastrophic failure of his battle damage ending in a rapid sinking when he wasn't suspecting it. I had an American carrier in a previous game in the early 192 period that had medium damage ...

Good job to you both taking the conflict to the end is the exception and not the rule and I am sure there were many lessons learned by going the distance that can be applied in future contests.
