What about old classics like John Tillers Civil War- still playable and fun- easy to do- doesnt take much rules read and if you've been around gaming a long time its a fit like an old glove.  There are others- newer- shinier- and more time consuming. Just a bee in the bonnet..

Not really at all- their impact in the war at this level was small- there is a Garrison rule and partizan rule that covers this- Kansas isnt on the map.
