How is the war in the West handled?

Are the bushwhackers in the game? How detailed is that part of the war covered, if at all?

Not really at all- their impact in the war at this level was small- there is a Garrison rule and partizan rule that covers this- Kansas isnt on the map.

Either side can operate militarily in Missouri and Arkansas. However, the logistics are predictably horrible. I haven't seen many do much in that theatre.
