Re: Nationalist blues...

There are about 20 Vildebeests in the game at the beginning of the war.
(and two hydro)

A few more are gradually repaired and assembled from spare parts.
These aircraft were relatively quickly converted by the Republicans to ground LB and used on the ground front. This conversion can be ...

Re: Nationalist blues...

The Vildebeest is like a Betty Bomber (for you WITP-AE players) in the early going....you have to respect anything that carries a torpedo

Without any cap or ship-based AA, they're going to run rampant over the Med. There is not an effective counter for at least a month, when you get some CR 32s ...

Re: Initial impressions

I would second the idea of having a Peninular War setup. For once the French armies will be swallowed whole in such a detailed map and British naval power could prove decisive with Spanish guerillas moving around at will...

Still I'll probably be playing the French side :D

Re: Nationalist blues...

Thanks for the heads up. But I'm actually stunned that the Republicans can actually hit ships even close to Algeria....

Nationalist blues...

Playing as the Nationalists on one day turns.

Still in the first 'weeks' but I'm constantly being plagued by Republican aircraft sinking ships left, right and centre. Does anyone have the same problem? Can't even see where they are coming from given the pathetic National airforce...

So what have ...

Re: What`s next from Gary Grigsby ?

Like many others I'd like to see the whole WWII at one go...

Also, this game system could easily lend itself to create WWI campaign. Especially, with the inclusion of events it can be used to bring in states as in real life and so forth and the inclusion of new technology (gas and planes and ...

Airgroup training in the National Reserve

I'm returning to the game after a long hiatus.

Playing as the Soviets and am in Winter '42. However, my airforce has been shredded and am trying to retrain it in the reserve but am seeing little progress. What setting should I use when I place airgroups in the National Reserve?

Thanks in advance!

Re: @Joel - what are your 2023 plans for WITE-2?

Thread resurrection :D

Is there the possibility of including the map of Yugoslavia and/or Finland in the main campaign? Or maybe the inclusion of some of the units found in the new scenarios (I'm thinking here of the Croatians mostly)?

BTW thanks for the great gaming experience!

RE: Soviets In Austria (Aug-41) WTH?

Have the same problem. Noticed it on turn 11 and moved some Hungarian troops there. However, I see the 213 Mechanised, 483, 431 and 139 Divisions in the same area.

BTW I'm updated to 1.02.11

RE: Retraining the Soviet airforce

Thanks for the quick response. But if you disband a group its gone forever or no?

Btw how does one improve morale (besides winning)?

Retraining the Soviet airforce

<t> Thoroughly enjoying the Soviet campaign. However, my airforce was literally wiped out over and over again. Operational losses were enormous, even the in the absence of Axis resistance.<br/>
<br/>
So I need to retrain it. How is that accomplished? Basically, I've got the entire fighter arm in ...

Soviet corps numbers

<t> Is there a way to see how many such numbers of soviet corps can be built? I'm asking mostly because of cavalry divisions. While tank and other brigades can easily be converted in support units, cavalry divisions don't have that luxury. Unfortunately, they are quite fragile from '42 onwards so I ...
