Re: wish list item - list of future producrtion

not pre-order.

Each Nation's settings would be persistent from turn to turn would be nice, saved across log-off and start up would be even better.

As a reminder to my old brain, as to what I want to produce when the production points stockpile are high enough to purchase.

Edit: Feedback I keep ...

Re: 1.05 Small fleet

You can still move a 20 stack from port to port, and this move can trigger naval interdiction, which leads to the age old 1.04 tactic of shopping for freebies with a full stack. This is even worse since your stacks can be only 6. In effect, any offensive is punished with this shuffle.
Easy fix is ...

Re: wish list item - list of future producrtion

Keeping it in the future for Production.

How about ?

In the Production window the settings for each nation, Army, Navy, Air Force & Support were retained. I could set the Unit type and statistics desired while waiting for the stockpile numbers to accumulate.

Re: Move to OKH / STAVKA function from Commander Report

This would be a nice QoL addition.

I have limited experience playing, and just Russian, but being able to move a lot of units to STAVKA in the CR with a few clocks? Absolutely!

Is there a way to sort the Reserve TB?

I have old eyes. This is the theatre box display

It would be nice to be able to sort via,
1) Unit name,
2) TOE percentage, OR
3) Unit size.

I am certain there would be more categories to search, but I am still learning.

Re: AI assigned construction SUs

Sorry to revise an old thread, but I have the game sending units to a surrounded Tallinn.

Yes Leningrad is surrounded, also.

I am also getting some reinforcements being sent to Tallinn, instead of the designated hex for reserve box to map. I believe this might be a user error more than a game ...

Re: Do you play windowed/full screen, 1/more displays? Why?

Currently in a first play thru, windowed mode on one screen and the player manual on a second screen.

Prior WitW player, so letting the Germans kick my butt, while sorting through game differences.

Re: Battleground Italy OOB question

I am guessing since it was part of the OOB for the Salerno Invasion, it was placed there. and then transferred back to the 8th Army once the invasion moved past a certain point.

I have not seen the game, do these historical transfers.

You can check the commanders also.

Re: Ghost aircraft or what?

When you mouse over an occupied airbase you will notice a (nnn%). Do not over stack your airfields, above 100%. It will impact efficiency of the air units.

When examining the staging base, there are blue hexes, orange and blue lines, etc. They all have meanings. Watch the number of available ...

Re: Factory Type Symbols?

I play with the Player manual, open on a second monitor and constantly look-up items as I discover a need.

Yes, it entails a lot of errors.

I am guessing using the production charts and examining the various city icons, with a splash of historical throw-in can get an idea of what each mean. It ...

Re: US 8th AF city bombing missions start in Noto

Bring out the Dead!

Campaign Game, extra HQ's.

My problem is recon missions, that were set up to start in East Angilia, the next turn the start position changes to Noto (153,295). Manually, change it back, and next turn it is back.

Only work around I have found is to delete the AD and reset up ...

Re: Shipping totals fixed?

After losing a few ships, and the folks and materials loaded aboard them, I figured the naval patrol needs looking into.

So, setting up NP boxes from the embarkation ports to the landing beaches seems to make sense. It also seems like supply would also be affected. Better supply the more you ...

I have not switched over to the axis yet so this is just guessing,

When you do air superiority how large are the area boxes? Maybe it matters?

From the allied side;

I run recon to find the airfields with enemy aircraft.
I send medium bombers to bomb the airfields in the day,
I place night ...

Re: Shipping totals fixed?

Since the sale weekend, I have found this game to be interesting as you learn about some aspect of it being handled by AI, then discovering later in the game the AI is not as 'good', so you then add an additional item to take care of.

Handling the Air portion cannot approach the intricacies of ...

I loaded up my paras with support units, and when it came time to drop, they would not drop and I received an error message about attached unit. removed the support unit, para dropped.

Re: Do support units attached to paratroop units..

So this might explain why I was having such difficulties with paradrops, maybe I was placing vehicle support units. I have not seen any glider type units unless the 52nd BR Air-Portable Division is one.

If so, how is it deployed?
