RE: Accelerationg Japanese airframes

<t> Look at all those little factories... The thing I take away from this thread is that there is little point in trying to accelerate planes that are years out (e.g. Ki-201 Karyu aka the Japanese ME626). Although counter intuative because you would think that the highest gains would be made on ...

RE: Accelerationg Japanese airframes

<t> Sure, they're hard to repair if you're aiming for something 1½ years out, but they repair quick if the goal is only a couple of months away. So there is an incentive to keep adding research factories towards the end of the research cycle so that they repair and can be used on the next project ...

RE: Accelerationg Japanese airframes

<r> Hi Numdydar<br/>
<br/>
This is a really useful post and helped me understand how R&D works for the Japanese. I hadn't realised that it was this involved. <br/>
<br/>
Do you think that 3 x 10(0) R&D factories are better than 1 x 30(0) in terms of the amount of research that is produced. This ...

RE: Some Questions on Japanese Manpower

<t> That makes sense, so it is an abstract measure of both the number of men available to be enlisted in the army or airforce, and also the work they could do. Manpower can be stockpiled because this is representing people available to do work - the people you didn't commit to the infantry yesterday ...

RE: Some Questions on Japanese Manpower

<t> So maybe the manpower that I gain from conquering the Philippines is sent back to the Home Islands where it frees up Japanese that might have otherwise had to work in the factories. These Japanese are then free to serve in LCU’s. <br/>
<br/>
I still think it is weird that manpower is consumed ...

Some Questions on Japanese Manpower

<t> First off, manpower is pooled, right? And it is used in the creation of new industry and for creating LCU's with men in them. Additionally it appears to be used for Japanese pilot training if the WitP Industry chart in tracker is correct.<br/>
<br/>
So is manpower something that the Japanese ...

How do other users use the search function – Successfully?

<r> Hi All<br/>

I’ve read Feinder’s review on how to use the search function (<LINK><s>[link]</s>http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=1590810<e>[/link]</e></LINK>) but it is still impossible for me to find even recent post’s that I know I have made. For example, I recently asked some ...

Airframe Assembly Upgrades

<t> I'm trying to get my head around the Japanese economy. I've read that some aircraft assembly facilities automaticaly upgrade to new types at certain dates. How can I see what they upgrade to and when? This information isn't in the game or in AETracker as far as I can see.<br/>

Thanks.<br ...

<t> I'd never noticed that but you're right. And the unit is composed of SNLF Para squads, instead of just SNLF squads. Still, these are not things you can see from the LCU summary screen.<br/>

I've also noticed that on the unit symbol on the bottom of the screen the para units have an extra ...

Japanese Para Units

Hi

Is there anyway I can spot which Japanese infantry units are parachute capable from the LCU's summary screen? How many do the Japanese have at the start of the game?

John
