A problem I have encountered is<br/>
if I select recall command "R" key<br/>
and<br/>
I accidently left mouse click on the stategic map<br/>
then<br/>
All of the aircraft flying on the entire map are recalled to base, there appears minimal chance of undoing this ...

Just curious.. How about throwing in the 109 G-10 and G-14 into that sheet? I would be curious to see how the more advanced models of the 109 would compare to the more advanced models of the 190.<br/>

RE: German production and other Qs

<t> I'm frustrated about the old french planes as well[:@]. One of the guru's told me that the Fw 190F and Fw190G will become upgradeable to better types at some point (I'm still not sure or recall want the trigger is). I assume the same will happen to all the other air unit that have cr*py fighter ...

<r> I agree it can be counter-productive. But in the old game you never had enough points to move much of the flak, the 500 point is more useful. [:)].

RE: Question about Victory

I don't known what the break even point is, but for every axis pilot KIA (or MIA), I like to see 10 allied pilots KIA (or MIA). This axis WIA I am not that concerned about because thay will eventually return to their unit.

RE: Command Structure

<t> Personally, I think it should require zero command points to move an air unit to a new base.<br/>

Note: I'm more familiar with the "Bombing the Reich" game.<br/>

To get around the 1 point per aircraft what I do is:<br/>

RE: 2 Engines for All Italian Fighters?

<t> I'd did not bother with this trick in the old BtR.<br/>
<br/>
instead I changed:<br/>
- the Mvr Rating of the Fw190A to 37 as a match to the Spitfire IX,<br/>
- made the drop tanks of the germans 60min (this give a rate of 5litres/min) instead of the 30min in the current game (also upped ...

RE: 2 Engines for All Italian Fighters?

<t> Thanks for your response.<br/>

I realise the Re 2005 is not a uber plane the main idea was to give the luftwaffe an aricraft that would improve the suvival chances of the pilots. Also in this current game with the beta version I am doing reasonably well even with the luftwaffe air units ...

RE: 2 Engines for All Italian Fighters?

<t> My strategy is that given equipment equal to that of the Allies I should be able to beat the the computer in a 1943 long campaign, assuming replacement rates are similar to the First BtR. In game terms, the Re 2005 appears to be the equal to what the allies have at Aug 1943, therefore I was ...

Does this mean my strategy of using this fighter would have caused enough pain to the allies to beat the version 1.0 of BTR.

RE: Question about German Pilots

<t> I'd have to check my records, but in the old BTR game the germans were getting approx 35 new pilots per day in Aug -Sep 1943. The mixture of day to night pilots varied, but I think was generally 5 night pilots and 30 day pilots. Nothing like stating the obvious, but if you are loosing more than ...

RE: 2 Engines for All Italian Fighters?

<t> Surely this bottleneck would not exist in the german, french, rumanian, etc factories.<br/>
I say this because:<br/>
1. I was intending to convert asmuch as the current production of fighter aircraft over to what appears to be the best axis single engined fighter, the Re 2005, (all the other ...
