RE: repeating loop of air attacks by same sqds

update: I reduced my default resolution way down and hid the task bar and it works OK but not nearly as well as before. The old version still works perfectly and is not affected by the change I made to the default resolution. What am I missing?

RE: repeating loop of air attacks by same sqds

<t> Thanks very much. I'm a klutz and I have another problem I can't figure out. When I start the game from the beta shortcut it doesn't fit my screen. I've tried monkeying around with properties, and nothing works. It only uses 2/3 of the horizontal space and a bit of the bottom is cut off. I am ...

RE: Help with the Dreaded PT Boat Menace

PT boats do not have enough draft to be hit by a torpedo, it will go clean under them.

repeating loop of air attacks by same sqds

<t> I've been having a peculiar problem with the Jap AI attacking multiple times (5-6 or more) with the same squadrons and the same # of each aircraft type but even more strangely not always the same target in the hex, sometimes ground unit, airbase or TF all in the same turn. I'm playing one of the ...

I recently upgraded my version of WITPAE. Can anyone tell me what the yellow and red exclamation points on bases hexes mean, and also the yellow crossed sword symbol?

RE: The RAAF hates Darwin

I usually use 20% training to keep them in top form and 20% CAP. This keeps fatigue at a reasonable level. If you know or suspect you're going to have a carrier battle in the next day or so, I would zero the training and set CAP at 40-50% max.

RE: american kamikazes

<t> I'm a little nervous about that, since I've put so much time in this scenario so far. Right after I sent the message about the usn kamikazes, I saw a download that appeared to be the latest (I'm not sure which one it was). The next day in the game that I played, I sent an air raid on the airbase ...

You must put the Lexington in "readiness" repair mode, otherwise it will be stuck forever. Once you put it in readiness mode, it will eventually (not quickly) be released to join a TF and leave harbor.

american kamikazes

I am playing the allies vs. the computer. As of Feb. 15, 1945 American planes began attacking Japanes ships as kamikazes. Anyone have any idea how to stop this?
